Review: this book was the first book that i have ever read of the night world series. this book is about a girl, poppy, who gets cancer. then her best friend and secret love, james, offers her a chance to live. but to live, she must become a vampire. the rest, you'll have to read. myself, i don't like it when people who write online reviews spill the beans about the ending. after this book, i was hooked onto l.j. smith's books. im sure you will too. :)

Summary: a good book
Review: This is the only book i've read in this series, but I am a huge fan of L.J. Smith. This is a good book with excitement and romance. I love books with any supernatural element(witches, vampires, ghost, etc.). However in comparison with her other series like dark visions, and the secret circle, I didn't think it was nearly as good. I didn't get as involved in the characters. But for a quick read I would completley recommend trying this book

Review: Personally, I LOVE reading LJ Smith's books, but unfortunately the only series available where I come from are the Night World series. I can't even find the complete series here! I can't find any pages where I can ask this question but who can I go to to ask them to ship this book here?Alright, back to the book. When I started reading it, I really couldn't stand Phil cos he sounded so uptight but gradually when he found out he too was a witch at the end of the book, I decided he wasn't too bad after all. James was *swoon* , he sounded so caring yet so menacing when he didn't want Ash to know about Poppy, I guess thats what attracts me to read more of her books! The characters sound so attractive and the plot is terrific!

Summary: A Good introduction to the Night World but not Smith's best
Review: The book itself drew me into the Night World seris( and later to the Forbidden Game; a must read!)but having read the entier seris up to book nine I believe it does no tdo the Night World seris itself credit. The character Poppy, a girl dying who's only chance to live is to become one of the undead, put me off( epesically when she calls herself a sex pixie) but the novel is saved by the character Ash ( who makes quite a few apperances throughout the seris) Basically, if it wasn't for Ash I would never have bothered to read book 2 Daughters of Darkness.

Review: I've read this book three times so far and its terrific. Ithooked me on the first sentence. Something was wrong with Poppy andhere was someone who offered to save her life. Definetly read these in order. I didn't and now am rereading them all..this time in order. They all eventually connect in one way or another and Secrete Vampire is a great start.

Review: I love this book cuz it's like so thrilling, but also romantic.I love the chemisty between Poppy and James cuz they weren't all ways together, they fought and were sometimes on different sides, if u read this u'll be hooked! Cuz I was after reading Witchlight!

Review: This is the first Night World book I read, and it was definetly enough to keep me hooked on the whole series. I loved this one though, I just fell in love with James... he's pretty cool, and Poppy's cool, and Poppy's brother's cool, they're all just a buncha cool guys. Yup, that's right. So anyway, get this one it's awesome :D
