Summary: amazingly written!
Review: all i gotta say is READ THIS BOOK!! im not giving any of it away because if u like pike then u'll definetly like the cold one. its gruesome in parts which i like! 8-D this is on of pikes most twisted books ever, but its important to his stories, it has a vauable message of life that no writer has ever explained and could never put it better than the master himself, CHRISTOPHER PIKE! im excited to read the sequel, just got to find the damn book.

Summary: Own most of his other books and still collecting
Review: Brilliantly descriptive world and characters so true to life you almost know them.

I've been collecting his books since I was 12, and still read them at 23!

Summary: SUPERB! Three cheers for Pike!
Review: By far, this is one of Pike's most nerve-racking, emotion grabbing, and gut-wrenching book. He literally takes you on a thrilling journey with the characters he creates, and I had to take a break from reading it several times simply because the emotion, or lack of emotion from the characters was so realistic and INTENSE! But let this be a warning to Pike fans out there- if you have a vivid imagination, as is common among Pike's fans, psyche yourself up before you read this book!

Summary: A real page turner
Review: Christopher Pike has been one of my favorite writer's for years. I am 29 years old and I am glad to see that his writing ability is expanding and growing right along with my tastes and age. 'The cold one' is a perfect example of that. Compared to say, 'Last Act' which is a really good story, 'The cold One' is so much more intense and the story seems to have a lot more layers. In my opinion he seems to be writing for a little more mature audiance and I'm thrilled. If anyone reads and likes this book then you should try all of the 'The Last Vampire' series.

Summary: Pike Does it Again!
Review: Christopher Pike is one of the few authors that I buy automatically when I see his books in the stores. And this one did not disappoint me at all. "The Cold One" is a wonderfully-written book that captivates the reader by the middle of page 1. The way that Mr. Pike weaves a story around his many characters and storylines is nothing short of superb. "The Cold One" ventures into the land of horror, mixed with science-fiction and suspense. I am extremely pleased that Mr. Pike decided to commence writing for adults as well as for young adults, for his young adult books are treasured in my bookcase as "favourites". If you have not yet purchased "The Cold One", then please do so immediately, for this is a life-changing novel, a novel of intense emotion and suspense. This is right up there among the best of Stephen King and Dean Koontz.

Review: does not a fascinating horror novel make. The Cold One was a bore, both book and character. The familial revelations read more like a bad daytime soap. And about RAK, the 5,000 year old (blind!) god? He reminded me of the 1st Survivors to be booted off the island: he rounded out the cast but the show could've and would've gone on without him. The title character goes through the novel explaining to us over and over how it "feels nothing, no emotion", yah that's the level of involvement I felt with this story. Sequels to come? Ay caramba!

Summary: Where is the sequel???????
Review: I absolutely LOVE Christopher Pike's adult and young adult books. His characters are very likeable and interesting and his books are really entertaining and great to read again and again. I bought this book when it first came out and it's one of my favorite Pike books. I have waited YEARS for the next installment of this awesome mysterious tale and I wish he would write it already!

Summary: A great book, showing Pike's skill in horror fiction.
Review: I am only a teenager and a great fan of Pike- I have read 34 of his books, including this one. He is a brilliant Young Adult writer but proves to be just as good for an adult audience. The book is about a women who was born 'Cold'. This means she is not human. Her twin brother is a journalist and does not know about his sister or even his parents. He is an orphan. I will not tell you the story but do read The Cold One because I really enjoyed it. Christopher is just cool.

Summary: one of the grossest books i have ever read
Review: I dion't care if this book had the greatest plot in the world it was absolutely gross. I can't believe this book was rated for young adults!
