Summary: Time for Andrew is a Favorite!
Review: I first entered the ghostly world of Mary Downing Hahn with her other two ghost stories, Wait till Helen Comes and A Doll in the Garden. I deeply enjoyed these two novels and soon found myself back at the library, checking out Time for Andrew. The story of these two boys, Drew and Andrew, and their amazing trip through time, caught my eye from the start. It is a very well-written book and the ending will bring a tear to your eye. I wish there were more books out there like it!

Summary: Best title yet for reluctant readers.
Review: I have presented this title in 100+ schools. I use cigar box, marbles etc. I even purchased a tumbling block quilt. Many boys have been turned onto reading because of this title. I would like to let Mary Downing Hahn know that this book has been well received. Many thanks.

Summary: TIME FOR A GOOD STORY!
Review: I loved this book it kept me reading and reading! but when Drew's parents go to "dig" in France Drew is suppose to stay with his very nice and understanding Great Aunt Blythe. But when Great Aunt Blythe brings Drew up in the attic Drew stepped on a loose board and found marbles that they could sell and fix the house up but then Drew finds a note that says:"WARNING THEESE MARBLES BELONG TO ANDREW JOSEPH TYLER IF YOU TAKE THEM YOU WILL BE SORRY. 7 JUNE 1910." But Aunt Blythe takes them anyway and in the night a boy comes into Drews room he is identicle to Drew but has Diptheria. The boys decide to switch places but when they do they seem to forget things from there own times. But Drew falls in love with Andrews sister Hannah. A tomboy that only acts like a lady when Jhon Larkin is around. Drew also adores Andrews brother Theo. Theo is a troublemaker that likes when Andrew gets in trouble with him. Drew also loves Andrews parents and finds himself calling them Mama and Papa. But Andrew did not tell Drew one thing Papa whips the kids with a belt instead of talking about it like his real Dad would when they get in trouble. Then Andrew and Drew make an agreement when Drew wins a game of marbles they will switch back to there own times. Andrews cousin Edward is a real idiot and at the end of the story Drew gives Edward a punch in the nose but does ot know who hit Edward him or Andrew.

Summary: Time for Andrew
Review: I read a book called, "Time for Andrew" by Mary downing Hahn. This was a great book that kept you on the edge of your seat the hole time. It is about a boy named Drew. He had two choices for his summer vacation. He could go to camp with his bully from school, or go and visit his Aunt Blyth. He chose to go to his Aunt's house. Drew is what i would call a scardycat or a worry wart. He worrys all the time and is afraid of almost everything. When Drew is visiting, he finds some marbles in the attic, and gives them to his Aunt. She sais that they shouldn't be kept in the attic, and takes them downstairs. Drew had a bad feeling about this. That night Drew meats the ghost of his Great Uncle Andrew. He found out eirlier, that His great Uncle had died when he was young, form a disease that could be cured with todays modern medicine. His Uncle and Drew look identicle to one another. When Andrew Finally talks to Drew, he sais that Drew had stolen his marbles and he had come to retreave them. In the story, the attic plays as a time machinne for the two boys. Drew agrease to let Andrew switch places with him until he is cured. When Drew does go back into the past for a week, he goes up to the attic and meets Andrew. Andrew doesnt want to leave the future, so they chalenge eachother to a game of marbles, the ones that drew had found. When Drew wins, Andrew goes back into the past and Drew will go back to the present day. That is if he wins. Andrew was cured form his disease, which means that they changed the past, and the future. But Will Drew ever get to see his family again, or will he be stuck in Andrews body forever? I think that this book was a little confusing because Andrew and Drew constantly are switching places, and it is a little hard to follow. Although, I did rate this book a four star book, because it is a great thriller. I would reccomend this book to anyone that likes Mysteries and likes suprise endings.

Summary: I recommend this book to all teenagers my age.
Review: I read Time for Andrew. This book was the only book I really liked and could read again. It was about a boy named Andrew who had to go to his aunt's house for the summer. There was an old man living there who didn't like Andrew. Andrew finds out why when he gets to the attic and goes back in time to when the old man was a kid. He switched places with a kid whose name is Andrew and looks like Andrew. He only switched places because he didn't want him to die of diphtheria. One of the best parts of this book is when Andrew has to jump off the tressel into the river. But he didn't and his mean cousin fell in and started to drown. He jumped in and saved him. His cousin didn't even care that he got saved. A part of the book I disliked was when Andrew from the past wanted to switch places so he could be back in his own time, but he had to win a game of marbles and he lost.

Review: I really liked this because I really got to know the characters. My favorite part was when Drew was supposed to jump off the trestle and Edward fell off. It is the best book I've ever read and I really look forward to a sequel. I think Andrew should come back to the attic. I think this a good book for anyone. Steven, grade 5

Summary: A Great Suspenseful Book
Review: I think a Time For Andrew was an excellent book for all ages. It really left you sitting on the edge of your seat at the end of every chapter. It's confusing at first, but it's worth the reading. Drew is a boy from the future. Drew finds marbles that belong to his cousin Andrew who lived 100 years ago. Andrew fights hard to get them back by playing a game called Ringer. They switch places and do daring things. I recommend this book for you to read. If you're looking for a Great book this is it!
