Rating: Summary: Ms. Kimbriel has great empathy for a girl growing up hard... Review: Night-Calls introduced us to Allie--a young woman living in a hard world who suddenly learns she has The Gift. It's not easy, being the only girl, and being that different, but Allie copes well, and reminds us all that there's more to life than simply following the herd off the cliff. The world is very well-rounded, and so are all the characters--it's an exciting read and one I sincerely recommend.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful blend of fantasy, myth, and folklore Review: This book brings back the interesting and believable heroine of "Night Calls", Alfreda Sorenson. It is a wonderful blend of fantasy, myth and folklore that is well worth reading and rereading. It should appeal to a wide cross section of readers from young adults to senior citzens. I would recommend it highly to those people who are trying to find well written and life like characters. Alfreda, Marta, Cory and Shaw are folks I would enjoy meeting. I hope Ms. Kimbriel writes another one of their adventures soon. I can hardly wait!!

Rating: Summary: A highly enjoyable read Review: This book is one of my favorites and has been re-read often. Allie is totally engaging and her common sense and practicality are very refreshing. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment in the series.
Rating: Summary: Worth the hunt Review: This book is wonderfully written. The themes are perfectly balanced, it has wonderful flow, and the story is interesting until the very last page. This author is one of the most talented I've come across in modern fiction, and I can't wait for her next book. KINDRED RITES is worth every penny, even with the extra fees to get it on special order. I'd recommend this book to anyone who is interest in the supernatural.

Rating: Summary: Worth the hunt Review: This is a great follow-up to the first novel (Night Calls). The pace set in the first book doesn't slacken, the characters feel right, the story is gripping, and the writing is so smooth as to be nearly invisible, like you're floating along in the story rather than translating words on a page into mental images. I picked it up one evening before dinnertime, and neglected to eat dinner and stayed up past my bedtime in order to finish it. I can't wait for the next book.
