It is about a girl named Carly Beth Cadwell who bought a mask from a Party Store and when she put it on, the mask became her real face. It was revenge from two boys named Steve and Chuck. It is the best Goosebumps book I ever read. So read this book!

Review: Carly Beth is the butt of all the jokes at her school. Always being frightened and humiliated in front of everyone. To show that she's not the 'scaredy cat' of the school, she is determined to get the scariest halloween mask she can find. The thing is, she got one too scary...Excellent book for early teens, with readers able to sympathise with Carly's teasing and embarrassing moments. Also Stine portrays a very claustrophobic feeling when you find out that the mask won't come off. RECOMMENDED for all young people who like creepy stories.

Review: Her brother is a nerd. This was a really good book. I think you should read it because it is interesting. I think they should of made the mask better and scarier, even though the book was good because of the mask. I like the cover, it's radical. I think the red eyes are cool. I wish they could make the mask, but I wish it didn't get stuck.In the book the mask got stuck on the girl's head.

Review: I Like the book, I thought it was well done. The book had a great start. It was a great middle and end the way the mask takes Carly Beth over and she could not take it off. My favorit part in the book was when Carly could not get the mask off. Then she ran around kick all the stuff she saw and scared all people she saw.Her brother got so scared he cryed. It is mort vivid because she scared them to death and it was funny The more Vivid parts are when Carly was waiting to scare three kids that alway scare her. so she wants to get so payback and when the kids came buy shy scared them to death.
