Summary: A Bad Relationship (Blanca)
Review: "The Boyfriend" was a good book to read because it teaches a very important lesson. Joanna the main character was a pretty girl who had everything that a girl could want. But her best friend Mary wanted Joanna to experience somehting that she hasn't experienced. Since Joanna treated Dex bad she was the one who suffered the consequences at the end. What goes around comes around. She realized the truth at the end. She had it all but didn't have love. People need to be kind to everyone you shouldn't try to show off or it could end up with something very bad, just like this book did.

Review: A rich girl decides her poor boyfriend is not appropriate and stands him up.Eventually he comes to her house and they go to a cliff.He shows off and slips,resulting in death.Then he's back from the dead, then he dies,then he's back from the dead again.

Summary: The Boyfriend (Point Thriller)
Review: I have a collection of the Fear Street books. I love them and when R. L. Stine comes out with a new Fear Street book I have to have it! The books he writes put you on your edge of your seat because it's so intense and suspenseful! I thought this book was great! I would read it all over again. I recommend this book to everyone who wants to be put on their edge of their seat! Thanks!

Review: I have just recently read this book for my lit class and I enjoyed it alot. I will have to say that this is one of the best R.L. Stine books that I have read! If you like horror books then you should read this book.The parts of this book that I liked the most is when Joanna, Dex, and Pete were at the Promontory. The reason I like this is because this is one of the scariest parts I think. There are alot of scary parts in this book but, this is one of the most scariest. If you have not read this book I would recomend that you read it. This is just what I think about this book but, you know that there are alot of people out there that woul disagree with me!

Review: I liked this book a lot. It was much better than his usual books like the ones in the fear street series because it is believable no weird supernatural things that couldn't really happen and plus it shows how the main character grows in the end when she calls shep. she realizes in some wat she grown up. or come back from the dead. She realizes what a snobby brat she has been. so instead of just a slash them up kind of thing this Stine book actually has a moral. i liked that fact that it had a moral but was still scary and gross the rest of the time!!!

And I think she should have new that it was a .... But, how was she to know it was. R.L.Stine keep up the good work. This book will take you on a wild ride.

Summary: R. L. Stine's "The Boyfriend"
Review: I read this story when I was in high school. My sister bought it and read it, and though I seldom read YA novels, I did pick this one up and finished it in a couple of hours. It was really very good, the best YA book I had read to date. Because I liked it, I read a lot of R. L. Stine novels after that. "The Boyfriend" was the best of them. Joanna, the main character, is a rich girl who has a thing for wild boys. Dex, the "boyfriend", is a talented boy, an actor, who lives with his aunt on the wrong side of town, and he's Joanna's type...at first. But the differences between them, that they move about in different social circles, doesn't sit well with Joanna and she gets bored with Dex and stands him up a lot. She has her eyes on Shep, a boy from a well-to-do family. In the middle of the night, after being stood up again, Dex persuades Joanna to go for a ride to the canyon accompanied by his friend Pete. Once at the Promontory, Dex starts goofing off like he always does, playing around on the edge of the cliff...and slips. Joanna hears Dex's body break as it hits the ground below. And in a rush of terror and confusion, she drives away from the scene and gets into a car accident. Joanna winds up in the hospital with minor injuries but Pete tells her that Dex didn't make it. 'Dex is dead, Joanna,' Pete says, 'and you RAN away!' Joanna feels bad, tells Pete she was going for help. He doesn't believe her and leaves angry. She is sad to hear that Dex is dead, but strangely feels relieved too. But Dex comes back from the grave to torment Joanna for abandoning him. The characterizations are among R. L. Stine's strongest and in the end the reader is still uncertain as to what really happened to Dex that night at the Promontory. I won't let the cat out of bag, but after finishing the book, you'll understand what I mean. I recommend this story highly.

Review: I think the book was really good. I liked it alot and would give it 5 stars. It always kept you on the edge of your seat. You could never put it down for very long because you would always be wondering about what was going to happen.
