Rating: Summary: Captivating and Compelling Review: As usual, as King develops his characters' complex personalities, you begin to feel their pain, love and anger. This novel was so moving that I'm now contemplating my stance on capitol punishment.
Rating: Summary: An absolute must-read. Make no mistake about that. Review: This is the most original and compelling story that I have ever read. It takes you places you've never been before, and once you pick it up, you will not put it down. King's talent to take you away from the pressures of life is at its greatest here, and you will not be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: Since I work in a prison I was Immediately grippped by this book...the mouse John Coffey etc..it made me feel like I was at work. Excellent book, but nothing compares to IT and Needful Things...A MUST READ
Rating: Summary: Amazing! Review: Okay, My name's Laura (canadiangodess@hotmail.com) and a little while back I wrote a review for Rose Madder. Well I got these books for Christmas and just couldn't put them down! I actually felt for John Coffee and Mr. Jingles. These books rock :)
Rating: Summary: I loved these books!!! Review: I think these books were one of my favorites. I think they all are really cool! When I would read them, I could not put them down. When I whould go to school and read, I used to get in trouble by my teacher for not putting my book away.
Rating: Summary: the green mile is okay, but a little gruesome Review: Stephen King's The Green Mile is an awesome book, but, like alot of King's other books, it is a little gruesome. Not that I mind, but if you are new to King's writing, you may not like it. ESPECIALLY THE PART WHERE THE GUY GETS HIS FACE MELTED OFF BY THE LAUNDRY MACHINE. by julian levy age 12
Rating: Summary: Read here.... Review: King has an incredible idea here that is well developed. There is just the right amount of both mystery and horror, but on a deeper level, this book touches some humanity.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF HIS BEST Review: THIS BOOK IS GOT TO BE ONE OF HIS BEST NOVELS. IT KEPT MYSELF INTERESTED FROM THE VERY FIRST PAGE TO LAST PAGE. I BOUGHT THESE BOOKS SEPARTE I COULDN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE TO COME OUT.
Rating: Summary: Edge of your seat worry! Mr. Jingles! Coffey! Bad Percy! Review: I loved this book! There was only one negative aspect: the beginning of each part repeats what happened in the last part because it was first a serial and that got annoying. However, Mr. Jingles was delightful. Wild Bill was terrifing, and Delecroix's execution was hideously frightening. What if that really did happen at some executions? (Which it probably did.) Coffey left me wondering what is wrong with our judicial system. What if someone like John Coffey is on death row? Could you kill a miracle? The parallelism between Percy and the orderly was a great concept. They both left a bitter taste in my mouth. Both were wasting their energy trying to destroy lives that would be gone soon enough. I liked The Green Mile better the The Stand, Rose Madder, Thinner, and Gerald's Game. A new King Classic! I can't wait for the movie!!
Rating: Summary: A little of everthing....They all were great Review: They were all excellent books, especially the last one. Slow at first, but worth it!It has a everything, saddeness, happiness, laughter, it was
great, definately worth the money.
