Rating: Summary: I Can Only Give it 5 Stars? Review: The Green Mile can be described in one word: AWESOME. Classic, amazing, terrific also do the same job. It's the story of a series of inmates on Death Row in the south during the great depression. Stephen King was at the top of his game in 1996, especially after publishing The Green Mile, Desperation, and the sixth Bachman Book, The Regulators. They're all really good, too bad The Dark Tower 4 and Bag of Bones were wastes of paper... hopes he writes some more awesome books.
Rating: Summary: One of King's Best!!!!!! Review: King really digs deep into your soul for this one. He really makes you look at how you feel about convicts and people on death row. I wanted some people to die for what they did and I wanted one person never to see Old Sparky. It made me see that there are people with pure good in them. I cried (not the first time) at the end of the book! The ending was so sad, I did not expect Stephen to end it that way. I really thought the right people would deserve to win. A great read for a first time Stephen King reader!!! Tell Stephen King to keep writing the way he does. He cannot write a bad book in my opinion.
Rating: Summary: COOL! Review: I LOVED It!!! It was one of the first stephen king novels ive read....very very Good!! great story line great characters!!!
Rating: Summary: Stephen King has "The Touch" Review: Loved the serial story idea. (Even if I did buy all the parts in one complete book.) I intentionally avoided reading each book separately. If I had to wait for each book to come out, I believe I'd be in the coat that buttons up the back. It was more mystery than horror & kept me crazy with curiosity. I actually HAD to pace myself. Like a fine meal to be savored. I am a HUGE King fan. I've read almost all of his books. And there were times where I thought he was losing "the touch". Well color me "Thrilled"! Stephen King's storytelling is alive & kicking! Now, if I can hold off on sinking into "Bag of Bones" for a bit...Oh, the excitement...
Rating: Summary: Refreshing Renewing Revitalizing! Review: Just a great story! I loved it. KING just seems to hit on every aspect of life; now it's the old. The feelings he was able to penetrate reminded me of "The Notebook". This book was excellent and it is a must read. I loved the characters and I cried at the end. Thanks Mr. King!
Rating: Summary: Man thats good stuff Review: Stephen King is normally somebody that I don't read because I don't really appreciate horror. This book King refrained from using horror, and perfectly used suspense. The feelings you have for the people in jail keep you reading. You don't want some to die and some, you wish, would get on with it. When it gets to the end you wish you'd read a little slower.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books ever written Hands Down. Review: When I first started to read this book, I had no idea that it would have the effect that it had on me. The storyline, the characters, all of it fantastic! I almost cried at the end. King is a genius and should be compared only to Dean Koontz in my opinion.
Rating: Summary: King's Best of All Time!! Review: This most definitly is King's best novel to date. The characters and the story grab you immediately and never let you go. What a ride! Whew!!
Rating: Summary: Stephen King's Best....ever Review: I can sum this series up simply. This is the best thing Stephen King has ever written. It is portrayed in a way that draws you into the story, and projects the images into your mind. If they ever make this into a movie, there will be no way they could ever do credit to it. It is powerful, and written in such a way to be believable. King is the master of metaphor and the duke of descriptiveness. This series will consume you, and you will want to read it again, and again, and again...
Rating: Summary: Perrrrrfection! Review: This is probably his best work, combining both his usual style of scaring the reader with a lot of gore and descriptions of a typical (or not so typical) town and people. A masterpiece.
