Summary: Gallows Hill
Review: This book is about a girl named Sarah who moves to Missouri with her mother. The town she moves to has people who are very strange and they just happen to agree on the same things. They are all against psychics, fortune tellers, and anything to do with witchcraft. I really liked this book. It was very interesting and I would suggest anybody to read it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not Duncan's best work, but good.
Review: This book has so many things going on it's confusing toread. First fortune-telling, then ESP, and witchcraft and prophetic dreams. I really like the message it gives though. With modern movies like "The Blair Witch Project" and some religous groups, our society has come to think of witches as bad people. Witches(or Wiccans as they practice Wicca)are people who worship natural elements and use certain herbs for healing. They aren't evil at all.

Summary: This book was perfect!
Review: This book is great. No it was perfect. It was full of suspence. The ending was suprising. (I read the ending many times!) I think this is one of her best. I read three of her books. They are Stranger With My face,A Gift Of Magic and this one. Well this is my order in how they go(for rating):

#1: Stranger With My Face ang Gallows Hill(So I cheated, I couldn't chose between them!)

#2: A Gift Of Magic

I am going to read Daughters Of Eve next. I'll tell you what I think of that book after I'm done.

Summary: Beautifully written, intense...
Review: Although, I usually prefer to read adult books, Lois Duncan & Christopher Pike are wonderful writers. I read this book in about 2 hours and it was amazing.. I reccomend this book for anyone who likes mysticism or information on the burning times.

Summary: This book was so totally great!
Review: I had to pick a book for a book report and I just happen to see this book. It really caught my attention when I read the writing at the bottem."They dont burn witches anymore, do they?" I browesed through it and decided it was perfect. When I was done with the book, I was so interested in recarination and karma I went and got some things on that. I am definatly going to read all of her books. As a matter of fact I just started "Down A Dark Hall" and can't wait to finish it.I'd recemend this book to ANYONE.

Summary: creepy... makes you think
Review: I bought this book at a convention with Lois Duncan there, and got my copy signed. The book is about a girl who is claimed to be a "witch" by her peers, who will stop at nothing to have her exiled from their community. the strange thing is, she does seem to have some sort of power... an old, cloudy paperweight occasionally shows scenes in peoples' lives that have not happened yet. In short, Sarah is seeing the future. When word of her uncanny powers gets around, a malicious group of cheerleaders and her mother's boyfriend's daughter (confusing, huh?) decide to get rid of her on Gallows Hill... with a huge bonfire and a lynching. Sarah's only friend quickly shows up and manages to convince them that this has all been done before, with disasterous results. You have to read this book! It is awesome! I stayed up half the night reading the last fifty pages at a heart-pounding rate.

Review: At the age of 14 I am not really into reading but when I saw the cover for "Gallows Hill" I knew I had to read it. It was not only the cover but the title itself made want to induldge myslef in this book. I was tempted to look on the inside cover to see exactly what it is about but I didn't. Today is day 5 of reading "Gallows Hill" and I am already on page 203. I recommend this book to anyone who likes to be on the edge of there seat. I want to thank Mrs. Duncan for writing this awesome book.
