Rating: Summary: Great, but surprising! Review: The book Gallows Hill, was ver detailed, imaginitive and descriptive, I thought it made you really not like the characters, exceptr for Sarah and Charles, the mom had no self confidence, and Ted was the worst because he had no true effection. This was a truly good book, with a very surprising ending full of emotion, and you will like it. One of her bests!!

Rating: Summary: The Review Review: Gallows Hill was a real page turner. I just couldn't put it down. This suspense thriller was about a new girl who just wanted to go home. Everyone thought she ws so mysterious but she thought she was just a regular kid. When the most popular guy in school ask her to participate in the fortune teller booth for the fair she is forced into it by her parents. While looking into her "fake" crystal ball once owned by her grandmother she sees a deadly vision. These visions keep on coming and everyone thinks she's some kind of witch. To understand the book you really have to pay attention. Its got a big twist at the end and it takes a lot to remember how you got there. So read it and figure it out!!!!

Rating: Summary: The best Lois Duncan novel I've ever read! Review: Gallow's Hill is a really great book. It's basically the book the started to get me interested in the Salem Witch Trials. I had been reading this book while I was away at summer camp, and I found myself wanting to sit in the cabin all day reading instead of doing the activities! (of course I couldn't so I just stayed up at night reading it) This book is very VERY good, and it has a great story line. I'm planning on checking it out from the library and reading it again. This book is mysterious, suspensful, and just really interesting. I really reccommend reading it!
Rating: Summary: Powerful Review: As the first Lois Duncan novel I have read, this novel was brialliant with the writing and the way the author weaved in a powerful message. The book is about a high school girl named Sarah and how she overcomes many realistic things a girl must overcome and she learns a miraculous thing. The basic idea of the book is reincarnation (the theory of coming back to life with the same soul in a different body after you die). Mrs. Duncan does a fabulous job of weaving a fabulous subject with a most enthralling read. This is one novel that children, teens, and even adults would love. This is one of Mrs. Duncan's better novels and came out a true masterpiece. Buy and enjoy this novel for the ultimate reading experience that lies in your own desire. Enjoy this book and be sure to read more from the author. HAPPY READING
Rating: Summary: Actually, 3 and 1 half Review: This book is cool, and really mysterious, but I think it could have had a better ending. overall, it's a pretty good book :] .
Rating: Summary: Enthralling Piece of Literature Review: Gallows Hill was the first Lois Duncan novel I've read and I have to say that this book is absoleutly enthralling. It has suspense and charcters that are realistic. The book is about a girl named Sarah who isn't accepted at school and has a stepbrother and sister that are pretty popular. Her gym teacher is going out with her mom and she hates it. She meets this boy named Charlie and they become great friends. As this book has depth and suspense it is also like a textbook in a way, talking about the Salem With Hunt and reincarnation. This book is a must read book for children from the grades 5 and up. it will be enjoyed. Read it! I loved it!
Rating: Summary: Interesting, but not very exciting Review: I first read Gallow's Hill a little over a year ago and i just picked it up to read again today and it barly held my interest. I mean, when i first read it, it was alright but i really think that Lois Duncan can do much better . This was not one of her greatest books. I really didnt like the ending to much, it didn't close right. All i was thinking was,"that was it,what was the point." If you want to read a book by Lois Duncan, read Daughters Of Eve, or Down A Dark Hall, those were excellent books. You can read Gallows Hill if you want to, but don't be surprised if you are massivly dissapointed.
Rating: Summary: Thrilling and Exciting! Review: This book is an excellent read for any age. If you're into thrillers and mysteries then Lois Duncan is a great author to select. I read one of her books this summer and have been reading books by her ever since. This is about a girl is accused by her classmates of witchcraft, and the town and its people are similar to the Salem trials. Its very suspenseful and keeps you reading you never want to put it down until you find out what happens! Its a must read for any young reader. If you liked this book I'd suggest "Down A Dark Hall", "Summer of Fear", "Locked in Time" or "I know What you did last summer"
