Summary: I have come. H.E.H.
Review:

This is the best book I've read in weeks! I go to the library almost every week. I loved this story. It is about a family that consists of Jane (the mother) and her 2 children, Molly and Michael, and Dave (the father) and his daughter, Heather.

When the family moves to an old church, everything turns upside down. Heather's mother died in a fire so the family thinks that she is just a sensitive child. I the back yard of the church, the is a graveyard. Heather later finds a ghost friend, Helen. The ghost is about to make Heather commit suicide in order to stay with Helen forever. Molly finds that it is up to her to save her annoying, bratty sister. When she does rescue Heather, she finds why Heather and Helen are such good friends. You'll just have to read the book to find out the rest.

Summary: A ghost story
Review: The book "Wait Till Helen Comes "by Mary Downing Hahn was a great book. It started with two parents that remarried. The two children on the mom's side had a bratty step sister Heather. Unfortunatly Heather's real mom was killed in a mysterious fire . But Heather was hiding a terrible secret . About what ? To top it of living with Heather they moved to a church behind a haunted graveyard in the middle of no where. Mysterious things started to happen , and Heather started going to the graveyard supposedly to see a ghost named Helen. What was going on? The book had many themes for example 3 were don't take sides, trust your instincts and follow your heart. Overall I would recommend this book to someone who likes ghost stories and a page turning book.

After the move Heather explores her new ground and wanders behind the old church she finds an old graveyard. One particular tombstone caught her eye. It read H.E.H., Heather bonds with the ghost Helen. Is Helen her mom or just another mysterious ghost?
This ghost story is the best of its kind. I say it's for the ages of 9 to 12. This book is one of the best I hope you like it too.

Summary: "Wait Till Helen Comes"
Review: "Wait Till Helen Comes," was a fantastic and enjoyable book for all ages. It is about two single parents who get married and move to a church in a town called Hollwell. Michael and Molly are brother and sister who are enemies with their step sister Heather, a bratty and spoiled little girl. Little did they know why she was like that. When the family moved to the church, the children found out that they had no neighbors and they lived next to a graveyard. Every day Heather visits this one very suspicious tombstone. Molly suspected something and followed Heather. Soon she found out that Heather allied herself with a ghost named Helen. I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys spooky stories about ghosts.

Summary: VERY INTERESTING BUT COULD BE SCARIER
Review: What's that misty white figure lerking behind that tree near that old overgrown grave? Could it be Helen? Read the book and find out. Before I read this book I was in the mood for a ghost story. I had been reading Little House books, and thought it was time for a change. I went to my school library and started to look around when I noticed a group of about four kids gathering around a book. I overheard one say,"Hey, why don't you read Wait Till Helen Comes." I also overheard the same one say it was a ghost story! After the gathering of kids left, with four copys out of the five, I was immediatly drawn to the remaining copy. I opened the book, read the summary, and said to myself,"This is the book I've been looking for." Even though the book kept you in suspense of what was to happen next, it didn't forfill its duties as to being very frightening or scary. Other than that it was an excellent book. With thrilling suspense and touching care and love from one sister to another, this tear-jerker/fictional ghost story is a great book for the right mood. You won't be able to "Wait Till Helen Comes" to read this book! (SUBMITTED BY JWF, A 12-YEAR-OLD READER)

Summary: Wait Till Helen Comes
Review: Wait Till Helen Comes
Wait Till Helen Comes is stellar story about this family that moves into a church, they find a graveyard in the back of their house. A girl named Heather meets a ghost named Helen that is very lonely so she tries to lure Heather into a small pond and kill her so they can be friends in the after life. This is amazing and a real conundrum I would have to rate it a 10 because it is a fast pace story, and won't let you stop reading until you are finished. The setting is in a small town where everybody knows each other. Heather is a small mean child she tries to get everyone in trouble but her dad. Molly is a nice young woman that tries to be a good sister to Heather but cant because Heather hates her. Mom is very sensitive lady that wants everyone to be a family. Molly's Brother is a scientific kid he likes things like bugs and microscopes. Their Dad is a person that always takes Heathers side when she is trying to get someone in trouble. The Largest conflict in the story is with Molly and Heather they always get in word fights and since Heather is smaller she is everyone takes her side about stuff. The foreshadowing in this story is since Molly is such a good sister she always tries to do the right thing and ends up saving Heathers life. So just remember just because you are not blood sisters or brothers doesn't mean you can't respect each other and act like sisters.

Summary: Wait Till Helen Comes is the best story ever!
Review: Wait Till Helen Comes is about two girls, a boy and their parents who are going to live in a church and one of the little girls meets a ghost named Helen. I think the setting was in a church which was a real place and not imaginary. The characters were beleivable like real people are because they walk in the creek with their shoes off. I liked the book. It was very exciting because you never know what's going to happen next. I couldn't put the book down. What I learned from the book is sometimes it's better to like your step sister. I would recommend this book to a friend because it's scary and fun to read. So if you like this book you might also like Time for Andrew by Mary Downing Haun.

Summary: I can't say enough about it!
Review: I first read this book about 15 years ago. I've probably read it at least 50 times. It wasn't a book - it was an experience. I mean, how often does this happen - a stranger comes up to you because you're holding a book, says they knew they had to talk to you when they saw it, you bond over it and go on to be friends for years. That's what kind of book this is...!

This is a scary book. I wouldn't go near anything or anyone with the name "Helen" or "Harper" for years. This book also got me started reading the other books by Mary Downing Hahn. Every time I went to a library or bookstore, I immediately looked for new books by her.

I know my paperback is around here someplace (I remember the library hardcover's much nicer cover illustration...) but I haven't read it in a while. However, little bits of it or certain phrases from it pop up for me now and then... I think the book got so ingrained in me that I don't even notice it! Parts of it were so vivid and (fittingly) haunting - the link between the girls' names, the ruins of the house, the damage done to Molly and Michael's rooms, the creek that wound around through the forest and near the graveyard before finally leading to Harper Pond. Thinking about it still gives me chills.

Excellent... I can't recomend it enough.
