Summary: Does YOUR demon act as funny as this?
Review: This is a very fresh, comic-horror tale which zips effortlessly along a path of satire, goofiness, exotic characters, and redemption of some very self-consciously flawed characters. Except the damn demon, who... Well, he's funny, and he's... NO, I won't spoil it for you.

Christopher Moore's first novel is amazingly polished, surprisingly creative, and, really hysterical. The dialog is used very effectively to paint the zany characters and carry the story along. As a result, you will most likely gulp this book down in one sitting. Just be careful of any spiked pumps that might be lying around (you'll have to read the book to get that last one!)

Summary: Do you want to laugh? Try this.
Review: Christopher Moore is probably the funniest author I have ever read. PLEASE read Coyote Blue and Blood- sucking Fiends. If you don't laugh out loud at least 20 times while reading his books, then you have a humor problem! He is, right now, my favorite author.

Summary: Tom Robbins has meet his match!
Review: This incredibly funny fable is about the problem of sharing immortality with an Audrey 2 (Little Shop of Horrors) kind of demon. Definitely don't start this book unless you have time to read it cover to cover and won't be embarrassed when you laugh out loud.

Summary: Interesting, funny, totally different, great
Review: I loved this book. The first Christopher Moore book I've read. It is what everyone needs a must read. Keep up the good work looking forward to all the others and those to come. Thank you for the laugh and making reading an enjoyment

Summary: The most fun you will ever have reading a book!
Review: Don't read this book, if you are not prepared to finish it in one sitting! Catch is the most lovable, comical demon you will ever run across. An outstanding first work from Christopher Moore

Summary: This is NOT your father's Oldsmobile!
Review: This is the first book I have read in a long time that actually made me laugh out loud....Well written with very believable characters. Catch is the best love-to-hate and hate-to-love villain in recent memory...

Summary: Hilarious Horror
Review: This first book by Christopher Moore gave us an excellent glimpse of his tremendous talent. The characters are well-drawn and interesting; the plot thickens at a quick pace; and the humor is unbelievable. You go from being scared in one sentence to laughing out loud in the next. Excellent book

Summary: The most fun you'll ever have with a demon
Review: I picked up this book on a whim and I am so glad I did! From page one, I was hooked. This is one of those rare novels that can be read over and over and doesn't lose its' appeal. In fact, it seems to keep getting funnier every time I read it. Christopher Moore is genius

Summary: It makes you want to shout MORE! MOORE!
Review: Afraid to laugh out loud on the bus? Don't want to draw attention to yourself while reading alone in a restaurant? Wish to avoid pinched-faced librarians that can't STAND it when someone is having a good read...and the whole library knows? THEN AVOID THIS BOOK AT ALL COSTS.

However, I wouldn't if I were you. And I was you. And I read the book twice without stopping. And I think aroused the library more the second time
