Rating: Summary: SEE YOU LATER to be seen in my hands sooner than you'd think Review: By far the best of Chrisopher Pike's novels, SEE YOU LATER incoperates many different aspects of life and its many lessons to be learned into the plot. Although it may sound like it, the plot is not as complicated as everyone says it is. This novel offers everything a reader could want -- action, foreshadowing, love, theology, and a strong message. I can't understand how an author can make a perfect story, but this book is proof that it can be done. Although sad, the ending is clearly the high point of this tale. Go read this novel and I bet that you'll soon be seen reading it again. I know I was!
Rating: Summary: A Bit Confusing Review: A review by Amy The book starts off in a love story sort of thing. Mark is crazy about this one girl, Becky. However Becky already has a boyfriend. Mark wants to do anything he can do to get her. Becky works at a computer store, which Mark visits often because his games he makes are for sale there. One day a strange person approaches Mark about his games. His name was Vincent, who also works computer games. He wanted help from Mark on his computer games. Vincent's girlfriend, Kara is interested in helping mark get Becky. She comes up with a plan about doing that. From that point on, the problems start to occur. The characters that Christopher Pike created were very interesting. He had the shy boy who wanted the girl. Then the more suspicious guy, who wanted help. Then the nice, sweet girl, who didn't want trouble. Then of course, the suspicious girl, who always wanted to cause trouble. The author uses language, which is a bit confusing. He firsts starts off with the characters, and then quickly starts talking about the other characters. You have to be very involved to understand the story and to know what it is about. The author jumps from one thing to another. I would only recommend this book to someone that gets very involved in books and can focus and understand confusing books. However if it is not that easy for you to understand a confusing book, that jumps from on thing to another; you shouldn't read it. I rate this book with 2 stars because it was good at the beginning then towards the middle it became unclear what was going on.
Rating: Summary: Alright book Review: A Review by Carol Mark has just graduated from high school and met a girl named Becky. Mark fell in love with Becky but she was dating Ray. Becky and Mark become pretty good friends. Mark meets a couple, Vincent and Kara. They all become good friends quickly. Kara is obsessed with trying to break up Ray and Becky. Things begin to get weird with everybody, and a strange guy shows up. The ending is totally unexpected. I would say my favorite character is Mark, is role is so realistic and he just seems like an average guy. Some aren't very believable though. This book wasn't really any interest to me. The moods in this story change around a lot. There are lots of lessons of love in the book. There weren't any complicated sentences to read or anything. It was easy to follow the story until the end. The end just confused me. The conflicts in this book are not real at all. The climax occurs about halfway through the book. I think if the book would have been any shorter it wouldn't have given you enough information, it's just the right length to read. Sometimes when the scenes are changed it's confusing and I don't understand them. But, the author does describe things okay. The only thing that sort of disappointed me was the ending and some description settings. I would only recommend this book to people who enjoy mystery and stories that have to do with aliens and space. It's an average book to read but, some settings are confusing. I didn't enjoy this book but, others
Rating: Summary: A Bit Confusing Review: Christopher Pike is not my FPA (Frequently Picked Author). Whenever I browsed in our local bookstore, I have to think twice or even thrice whether to buy a title of his book or not (the only writer that i cannot resist is Stephen King though) But having read the novel See You Later...I was astounded. God! He is even better than King is. Uhhhh...Booo!! I hear you scream...I will not argue much with you but I'm sure all of those who have read Pike's novel will agree with me that he is the Stephen King of YA Horror. but this novel is not horror. It cannot be classified into any kind of genre. This is an out of the space genre. Although some spot of sci-fi, horror, fantasy and romance can be found in this book. I don't want to spoil the suspense for you. But one thing, the beginning could be boring for you but getting in the middle...you will never want to put the book down... In this book, Mark fell in love with a girl named Becky. But was heartbroken when he learned that she is going out with someone else. Then Mark meets a young couple: Vincent and Kara... Kara is strangely obsessed in getting Vincent and Becky together...she succeeded. But then terrible things begin to happen...that affects the entire future of our world...that only love can solve...oh hell tried to explain...but i can't Oh my God! just read it! read it I beg you and you will love the author and will be hooked forever...I think this is the author's masterpiece so that he can say to you "See You Later" to read his other novels...

Rating: Summary: Confusing Sci Fi Story Review: Eighteen-year-old Mark Forum is the narrator in "See You Later". He's a talented computer games writer with a mad crush on Becky, a record store clerk who already has a boyfriend (Ray). While hanging out at Becky's workplace, Mark meets Vincent, a fellow computer games enthusiast, and his live-in girlfriend, Kara. Both are surprisingly interested in Mark's life, especially concerning his relationship (or lack thereof) with Becky. Kara believes Mark should break Becky and Ray up, but he doesn't think he has a right to. So, Kara decides to run interference herself. The plot for the first half of the book reads kind of like a silly teenage drama, but when a sixth character (Frederick) joins the circle, the story begins to get very complicated and weird. (...) I, for one, didn't understand what was going on most of the time, and I won't pretend that I understand it now. I just wanted to get it over with. Very little seemed to happen at the beginning of this book, and then the rest was just an overload of space travel, world annihilation, and just about everything else that bores me. I swear, if little green men had come popping out of a UFO I would have been beating myself senseless with this book. So, as you can tell, my opinion of "See You Later" wasn't so great. And to top it off, I hate sci fi topics, if you hadn't noticed that already. This book certainly wasn't meant for me. Nevertheless, I still consider myself a Christopher Pike fan--of his horror stuff, anyway-- and would only recommend "See You Later" to other die-hard Pike fans or people who are really into science fiction. Otherwise, skip this one and try something else, like "Remember Me" (one of my favorites).
