Rating: Summary: Weak Review: I thought this was one of the least exciting books that I have read in a long time. There is no intrigue - it couldn't have been any easier to figure out if someone was whispering what was going to happen next into my ear. I think that the author covers up the lack of substance by filling it with over the top erotica.I do like the concept of the haunted underwater city and even the idea of the spirit that "walks on the earth." It is a shame that the concept it the only thing this book has going for it. The characters are not believable and all the "magick" references are right out of a "How to be a Wiccan" manual. If you like teen level reading with a horror theme and tons of graphic sex, this is the book for you. If you are looking for something that will keep you guessing and characters with substance...I wouldn't bother.
Rating: Summary: Simply Sublime!! Review: Not only does this book offer more emotion than the first, but it colors it's characters in a way that brands them into your imagination and heart. Enter the nightmare of campus hijinx, urban legend, magick [with a 'k'], and dangerous women - living, dead, and ancient! You can see the characters, you can smell the danger, and you can sense the tension as the story takes what you knew and brings it to new levels. Not only do we find some of the same characters, but we find that their purpose is far greater than to flavor the story - it IS the story. Paced to keep you reading and twisted to make you scream at the end [because you want the next one NOW], Tamara Thorne's mark on this genre is just blooming! If you have read anything else by her and enjoyed it then you MUST find the Sorority... Five Stars all the way!!
Rating: Summary: Pure Pulp Horror Fun Review: Those of you who are not enjoying this series really need to take the pipe out of your butts. Thorne's Sorority series is (so far) the funnest horror read this summer. Sure, mary Ann Mitchell's Tainted Blood was wonderfully demented, but the first two in this series are like watching a midnight cult film from the early 80s. Try not to be so technical and lighten up a bit and you'll love these.
