Rating: Summary: Call Waiting Review: I read the book "Call Waiting," by R.L. Stine. I enjoyed this book because I've always enjoyed mysteries, where you have a lot of climaxes and you always end up having to guess who the suspect is. I liked how the author did a good job of disguising the suspect, so that you would had never have guessed. I also really liked the suspense that left you wondering at the end of each chapter.I thought the best part of the book was the end. R.L. Stine did a good job of making it seem like the suspect was going to kill the main character, until a twist brought her boyfriend to her rescue. It had an excellent ending. I thought the author did a good job of describing the characters. With such vivid descriptions I could picture what each of the characters looked liked. The book also had very explicit climaxes, usually at the end of each chapter. It kept me wondering and made me want to read on.
Rating: Summary: It was mysterious. Review: I really like these kinda books and have nearly read them all. My favorite one is The Hidden Evil, but I also like this one as well!

Rating: Summary: I haven't even finished it and I hate it!!!! Review: Oh puh-lease! What a horribly-written book! You know, this is proof that R.L. Stine should stop writing so quickly. He doesn't concentrate and notice the junk that he can create! Okay, I'm not dissing Stine, but this book was horrible. The story didn't even make sense. I bought it becuase I read a review here and someone said "a person who calls a victim before going to kill them" or something like that. Well, I picked it up without reading the back and when I did read the back, it made no sense! I don't know if anyone noticed this, but everyt time that killer SUPPOSEDLY called her, Karen always returned to Ethan saying, "Oh, Ethan! It was him! He had such an ugly voice! He said he was going to kill me!" I think that's pathetic. She can't even lie well. I obviously know how this ends from reading all these reviews (Thank you readers for keeping me from continuing this junk!) so I'm just going to read the end. I haven't even finished this book, and already it's one of the worst books I've ever read. I recommend NOT getting it. Thank You. :)
Rating: Summary: Call Waiting or not Review: Once there was this girl named Karen. She has a boyfriend named Ethan and a very good friend named Micah.Karen loves Ethan very much but one day she saw Ethan with this girl named Wendy in the hallway at school. She saw them talking and laughing but she didn't start to suspect that they were going but the next day she saw it happen again. So she stared to suspect. Then she told her friend Micah but Micah told her not to worry and Karen knew that she can't stop worring because her boyfriend could be taken away by another girl. After awhile Karen and Micah had this aurgument and they were mad at each other.Later on Ethan starts to say he is busy and he can't go out. So she made up that someone has been calling her and saying that they will kill her and whenever she is talking on the phone with Ethan she says she have call waiting and everything to keep Ethan but one day he found out that her family does not have call waiting so he got mad. So one night she really got a scary phone call and she went looking for Ethan but instead she saw Micah and Micah told her that she has been going out with Ethan and she made the scary calls and they started fighting but Micah forgot that she was on the phone with Ethan so he heard the whole conversation over the phone. So he came over and Micah said that she attacked her but he didn't belive her. So Ethan started to go with Karen again
Rating: Summary: dissapointing Review: the story is basically about a girl who is kind of obsessed with her boyfriend and is afraid he will leave her for someone else, then she gets threatening phone calls......this is basically what the story is about. I find RL stine a very good suspense writer but this story was one big dissapointment for me. The story seemed to be written for little children (younger then goosebumps) and the caller(s) was SSSSOOOOO obvious. This is the first time I was bored and dissapointed by reading an RL Stine book. If you want to read good Rl Stine stories read the horror trilogy (99 fear street).
Rating: Summary: It was O.K. Review: This book was about a girl named Karen, who supposedly gets mysterious phone calls. All of them were when she was on the phone with her boyfriend, who she thinks she is losing to another girl (hint, hint). Anyways it is alright. I read it about two years ago. So I'm not that much into R.L. Stine anymore. Christopher Pike is way better. I recomend this book somewhat
Rating: Summary: It was a boring mistory. Review: This book was about a young highschool girl ,who gets prank phone calls, which scare her. whenever she gets a prank, it's either on a phone thats disconnected, or it clicks into her non-call waiting line. at first she thinks it's her boyfriend playing a joke on her, or her best friends who shes in a fight with but then she starts to get the phone calls at school.
