Rating: Summary: Brilliant! One of his best. Review: What a brilliant book! Must be one of his best ever. The whole concept of time travelling change with this book. Koontz is getting more and more brilliant with each book he writes. Stephen King move aside!!
Rating: Summary: One of my all-time faves! Review: I've been reading Stephen King since I was ten years old, and I thought no one could ever challenge him. Dean Koontz proved me wrong. He is an artist with words, and Lightning is one of the crown jewels of his work. The characters are believable and engaging, the story is gripping, and I hope they never make a movie of it because it simply couldn't do justice to Lightning.
Rating: Summary: !A Twisting confussing Nightmare! Review: Lightning being the first book that I read of Dean R. Kootz, at a young age, I found this book to be confussing but extrememly exciting. After reading for the second time he has been the Author that I have come to love and have become a long time reveiwer and my favorite author.
Rating: Summary: Dean Koontz is a great writer! Review: Nearly all of his books are impossible to put down, and this is no exception. As good as the plot is, what makes this great is the wonderful writing of Dean Koontz. His character description is some of the best I have read. He creates characters that you can believe in. You care about what happens, and really feel a part of the story.
Rating: Summary: Not that impressed Review: This was the first Koontz I've read. He's no Stephen King, for sure, but mildly entertaining. I thought the dialogue was really dumb, and his depiction of an 8 - year old, even a really smart 8 year old, is pretty lame. (Reminds me of a bad made for TV movie.)
Rating: Summary: Fantastic!!! Koontz is a brilliant story-teller!!! Review: In this thoroughly engaging, fascinating novel, Koontz introduces the public to Laura Shane. From the day her mother went into labor with her, Laura has had a handsome, blonde, blue-eyed guardian hopping in and out of her life, trying his best to spare her life's tragedies. This is an enchanting novel of love, dedication, passion, and triumph. I urge any fan of the awesome Dean Koontz to make this purchase. Lightning is my favorite novel. Perhaps Koontz's gift could reach you, too!
Rating: Summary: UNSTOPPABLE! One of the top 3 he has written Review: OK, finally we don't get a cop/marine/spy for the main male lead, we did get a woman with problems in her past, but that I could live with. The possibilities of time travel have been well explored, but not from this angle. The idea that the technology is coming from the past brings a whole new angle.
Rating: Summary: It keeps you guessing til the end! Review: If your into Dean Koontz or just like suspense novels this is the perfect book for you. The characters are so vived that by the end of the book you'll feel contented, like after a visit with good friends.
Rating: Summary: Good book! Review: If you like a fast-paced science fiction story this is a good book for you. Full of exciting and thrilling action.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: I am a huge fan of Dean Koontz although not in love with all his books but think this is one of his top three. I couldn't put it down, it makes you think at the end well, what if? A good first read for someone who has never read any of his other books and wants to get hooked.
