Summary: 1 word: WOW!
Review: This was easily the BEST book in the Buffy series that I have read so far. There are so many characters involved, and the fact that it's chaotic made it extremely exciting. I could not put this book down, especially when they were in the house itself (that was the best part!) even if you're not a buffy fan, READ THIS BOOK. It will DEFINITELY get you hooked!

Summary: Out of the mad house: I wasn't, I couldn't put it down.
Review: This thrilling novel captures all the humour and excitement that so many people love within the Buffy The Vampre Slayer T.V series.Only Joss Whedon himself could have made this sound as natural. The slayerettes travel to several places within the course of the gatekeeper trilogy and this helps add a new dimension to the series.Moving the action away from Sunnydale and it's citizens in order to help them is another of the many twists in the plot that helps keep the pace. With good character development thrown into the mix this is an all around excellent book.

Summary: A must for all Buffy fans!
Review: I like Cristopher Golden's and Nancy Holder's Buffy books the best. They take the regular characters(Buffy, Xander, etc.) and some guest stars too(Spike, Amy, etc.)and pit them against what seems to be an unstopable demon of some sort. Usually the globe gobling variety. In this book, the first in a trilogy, the Scooby Gang must battle Hell itself, with the help of a very old, decrepid dude known as the Gatekeeper. His sole job, and he dosn't even know who gave it to him, is to keep the world,s hell beasties and mythological creatures in check. He has them bound in separate rooms in a mansion in Boston. But the Gatekeeper is dying and several monsters have escaped. These aren't all the Slayer's worries though. A band of acolytes whose master is still somewhat aloof are trying to kill the Gatekeeper. If they suceed, the world will be swarming with monsters. A very well written(if somewhat violent)book. Don't read it unless you plan to read the whole tirlogy!

Summary: Simply magic!
Review: I felt that this book kept the suspense all way to the end. It's almost agony when one character is left hanging when the book flips to another. It made me want carry on reading to find out what happens next. This was the first book I bought and it certainly made me grip my seat!

Summary: Non-Buffy Fan loves this book anyway!!!!!
Review: I have to admit, I have never seen even a little bit of any Buffy episode. But I was in the bookstore looking for XFiles stuff, read the back of this book, thought it sounded pretty cool, and picked it up. I'm hooked. I just finished it this afternoon, and I really can't wait to start the second book. I loved the stuff about the Ghost Road, the Sons of Entropy, the gatekeeper, and the whole idea of skyquakes. Who knows, maybe now I'll watch an episode.

Review: This book is the first in the series. It has excellent dialogue, action and events: I couldn't put it down!! I reccomend this book to anyone who enjoys the buffy sereis on TV, the book series, or great styles of writing. Well done Nancy Holder, and Christpher Goden!!!

Summary: Are you a Buffy fan? Then buy the entire trilogy, now!
Review: Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder have actually used intelligent writing skills to bring the entire cast of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alive in part one of "The Gatekeeper Trilogy". From Xander's wise cracks and one-liners, to Angel's mysterious character and suave vampiric attitude, this book and its predecessors will take you into the world of the Slayer and fulfill those tasteless cravings for more "Buffy" action. Plenty of surprises await, including guest appearances and dilemmas you just can't see on television. Buy this book, and while your in the buying-mood, complete the set with parts two and three.

Summary: A great attention grabber and keeper!
Review: Wow! I read this book and it really kept my interest throughout. I did get a little bit lost in the subplot with Reigner history back in the 1600s that was intertwined within the book, but over all I was able to keep up! It was so very cool cause unlike in the TV show it looked like Buffy had finally met her match! I liked the book very much and now I can't wait to start the 2nd book in the GateKeeper Triology called "Ghost Roads"!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I loved this book.
Review: This book, the first, obviously, in the Gatekeeper Trilogy, really gets the ball rolling. if you start with the 2nd book you'll miss out on the fun, and exciting times that make life in Sunnydale worth living. Keep 'em coming!
