Summary: Master of murder
Review: The book started off really well, I really got into the whole story and just wanted to know what happened next in this author's life. But in the middle of the story other things just started to happen and the story was no longer about his hidden identity but about a murder/suicide. This story really grabs you and keeps you pageturning. What I found so good about this book is that it gave you good insight into the makings of a book. THe reason why I only gave it four stars is because in some chapters the things are described by just too many details and this just is very distracting from the story itself. other then that it is a great story

Summary: O.K.
Review: This book is nat as good as it sounds on the back. If you are just starting to read Christopher Pike books you probably shouldn't start with this one. believe me Christopher Pike has written MUCH better books than this. What Marvin does neart the end is shocking, it truly will make you change your opinion on what kind of guy he is.

Summary: I would have given it 4 and a half
Review: This book was really good. The beginning drags along a little slowly, but things pick up shortly.

Marvin Summer is a writer of teen horror novels. His best-selling series "The Mystery of Silver Lake" is making him millions. But, Marvin's life is far from perfect. His alcoholic father is the top reason he writes under a pen name. If his father ever discovered his bank account, he would spend all the money on gambling and beer. And, he can't seem to get the attention of the girl he dated on and off the past year. She stopped talking to Marvin after her boyfriend commited suicide. To top things off Marvin is late with the last book in the six-book "Silver Lake" series because he has no idea what should happen at the end of his series.

Things soon turn from bad to worse when Marvin realizes that his murder myserties may not be fiction after all.

Summary: MADE ME WONDER
Review: This book was slightly different than others. It had like a lot of sudden sexual parts in it, and I must say I did like it, nothing vulgar at all. I stayed up till 2am on monday night reading it until I finished it. It was really good. Almost like Pike's Biography, maybe a little too much revelation from Marvins part. It's so obvious that if he says this happened, that there is a twist. And it did leave me wondering about the girl and the jock! Good bookm it only looks discouraging. I do a little bit of acting, and now entering college I can relate to the kids, just not as strongly, I mean I'd never think of killing....

Summary: INTOXICATING!!!!!!!!
Review: THIS IS MY FAVORITE PIKE NOVEL I FIND THE CHARACTERS GRITTY AND REALISTC. YOU WON'T FIND ANY ARTIFICIAL HEROES HERE JUST REAL PEOPLE WITH POWERFUL EMOTIONS AND CUNNING MINDS. THE FINAL CONFRONTATION SHOULD GET A 10 FOR ORIGINALITY. MARVIN IS VERY INTELLIGENT TO MAKE GOOD OUT OF A BAD SITUATION AND THAT GIRL SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER, KHALELA

Summary: Masterfully Written
Review: This is one of my all time favorite Christopher Pike books. Actually it's one of my all time favorite books period. The story is delightful and the characters are wonderfully real. I've read this book many times over and it never gets boring or old. I definately reccommend this book to anyone wanting a good book to read. Also in both of Pike's Tales of Terrors we hear more of Marvin and his life.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A totaly clever piece of writing. Completely mind gripping.
Review: This is one of the best pieces of writing I've ever read. The suspence is a killer. Mr.Pike really is a class writer. This book kinda makes u wonder if the character MARVIN potrays the author a bit. Well done! I look forward to his new books.
