Rating: Summary: Didn't see the movie - Loved the book. Review: Even though I did not have a chance to see this movie, I did read the book. And I enjoyed it. It was classic S.K. I find it hard to believe that some people didn't like it just because it reads as a screenplay. Okay, so maybe at first, it was slow reading, but heaven forbid, you should have to think about anything. Or, I don't know, maybe draw some conclusions for yourself. I just think that anyone who didn't like it JUST because it was a screenplay - is lazy and should quit complaining.
Rating: Summary: THANKS TO THE KING FAN!!!!! Review: First, I did enjoy the Storm, but it would be cooler if it were a novel. The movie was pretty good also. I would like thank the KING FAN that recommended, "THE FIST OF GOD' by A.T. Nicholas. It was great! The plot was phenomenal and the writing style was awesome. Can't wait for the next one.
Rating: Summary: Excelente!! Review: At first I thought it was kind of strange. But then, well what a great book. I can't wait for the screenplay to arrive here in Portugal!
Rating: Summary: I thought the screenplay was excellent Review: I had some questions about the screenplay.Who was this guy and what was it he did that he had to train someone else to do?He told us what he wasn't ,but he never told us what he was.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: King's brilliant anti-abortion book taken from the Gospel of Mark! If only...well, I don't want to give anything away! Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: GREAT! BUT I WISH IT WAS A NOVEL. Review: The screen play version is cool and the movie was awesome, but I would like to read a novel form of The Storm of the Century. But I'll take anything from the King. ************* There's another book out there called, 'The Fist of God' by A.T. Nicholas that reads like a fast pace movie. Good and evil go head to head in a bloody battle for souls. The plot unfolds through the eyes of a homicide detective, who becomes a reluctant participant in the spiritual war. If you liked the Storm of the Century and the Stand by the master you will love this book.
Rating: Summary: The Lottery? Review: An easy read and it's good to see King not copping out on the ending but if you read Jackson's story you saw how this was turning out around the first time you read, "Give me what I want and I'll go away."
Rating: Summary: King's new horrors grab your attention and don't let go! Review: I have never been a fan of King's literature or horror at all for that matter. But when I was exposed to the fierce imagination of this renowned author, I had no choice but to stare in awe at the brilliantly composed work called Storm of the Century. It leaves readers asking themselves, "Can I read any further? Can I withstand the suspense and thrill?" I can't hear the song "I'm a Little Teapot" without a shudder and the memory of suspenseful scenes rushing into my head. Excellent.
Rating: Summary: The ending was unexpected and gave me the chills... Review: I did not have the chance to read the book yet but I loved the movie.Stepen King is the best. 'hope you get well very soon Stephen 'cause I can't go on without your books! And I blame and curse that driver who hit you.
Rating: Summary: Didn't like that the book was the screen play. Review: The only thing i didn't like was that the book was the screen play. It was kinda hard for me to understand. I watched the mini-series first and then went back and read the book. I felt it was a lot easier that way instead of trying to keep all the characters seperated in your head.
