Summary: What a Blast!!!
Review: Stephen King is a genius! Once again a thrilling roller coaster ride of chills and thrills. He's simply the best!!

Summary: Great boook
Review: I think this book is great I mean this is the first book I actualy read without closing it after the first page i just couldent put it down.....

Summary: What was that all about?
Review: Predictible (and how so), incoherent, and just soooo boring.... Huge disappointment. Why was the miniseries so long? Did he get paid per minute? Per page? Where is the King of Shining, Firestarter, Carrie? Goodbye Stephen, the king is dead.

Summary: Brings home that sin is everywhere and humans are weak.
Review: Even "good boys to the end" have sinned at least once in their lives. The rarity of these "good boys" is brought to life in the character of Mike Anerson who pleads for the sense of Roanoke Islanders who were obviously not as weak as the modern day Tall Islanders.

Whether intentional or not, King brings to life how close we are to damnation, and how easily we can step into Hell.

In any case, I will never hear the children's teapot ditty the same way again.

Another great one fromt he Master, Stephen King

Summary: King's Latest A Contrived Dissapointment.
Review: I was as thrilled as a King fan could be when I finally got my copy of "Storm." Having read things in screenplay format before I wasn't apprehensive about tackling a book in that format at all.

The first act wasn't bad, it really wasn't. I had high hopes. However, the second and third acts quickly degenerated into a typical, contrived "Halloween" who's-gonna-get-it-next kind of camp. I know King has been referred to as a schlock-horror writer, but this is going to the extreme. I could predict exactly when Linoge was going to "work his magic."

The ending was awful as well. I can respect the concept he's putting forward here (the sacrifice of one to save the many) but as if we couldn't see this coming. King has left the residents of Little Tall (and himself, it seems) without a choice. And instead of puzzling his way out of it they just quit.

King has built his stories on the precept of bad things happening to average people, and before they know what's happening they're nailed with the climax and a nice denoument to swat them on the butts on the way out. Here, we find people in full comprehension of their situation and still doing the wrong thing. Even Mike's little "encounter" with Linoge seemed more like an afterthought than any real plot device.

All in all this book started out quite promisingly, and ended up leaving me feeling unfullfilled, cheated, and with a bad taste in my mouth. My faith in King has been severly shaken. Let it go, Stephen. How about trying your hand at another Gunslinger book instead?

Summary: WOW...That's all I can say
Review: OK, maybe I can say a little more. All I know is that I couldn't watch the miniseries for two reasons. I read the screenplay first and 1) I knew there was no way I could put myself through that kind of emotional wringer again, and 2) every time I read a truly great script, the end product is inevitably a disappointment. The screenplay for "Storm of the Century" kept me up all night, turning the pages, all the way to the horrific finale, and the very next day it was all I wanted to talk about (which was hard, since no one else had read or seen it). There were some slow moments that I'm sure could have been cut, but then it only would have been a five hour miniseries, since most of it was needed for the slowly building sense of dread and suspense. And that ending was incredibly depressing (though it could not have been more obvious which one he was going to get from the very start). My only complaint is that, when all was explained, the premise made no sense whatsoever. If Linogue had no problem killing people left and right, why did he bother putting the town through all of this? Why not just TAKE what he wanted? Considering the end, if I were one of the townsfolk, I would have rather lived with the uncertainty than all the heartache Linogue's actions caused. King offered plenty of goosebumps. Too bad there wasn't something more substantial at the story's core.

Summary: The best book in the world
Review: This is the best book I have read in a long time. I am 15 years old and I don't like to read that much but my parents make me some times. I saw the preveiews for it and I decided to read it and see if I could finish it before the show. I found that the show was much faster but I finished it this week about two days a go and I loved it. I know I have read some of Stephen Kings work before and I enjoyed it. This is close to one of the best. It was one spooky and two exciting. I thought the ending could have been better but all the chapters had there own perks. I recomend this book to anyone who likes Stephen King and anyone who likes thrillers.

Summary: Stephen King's best
Review: This is no simple horror. Beneath its scary moments and thrills Storm of the Century is a tale about parenthood and how we need as a community to be together to survive. I saw the miniseries and i was surprised by the realism the story had. Andre Linoge is everything that threatens our security and well-being and that put us in moral dilemmas that either destroy us or make us better human beings. For me the moral of the story is that evil can be learned and it walks in our streets just by our side.

Summary: Stephen King At His BEST!!!!
Review: I have been a fan of Stephen King for some time now, and so far Storm of the Century is the best of all his books/movies, Storm of the Century is the BEST! I watched the movie in parts, and then after seeing it all in three seperate segments, I watched my video tape of it straight through again last night. It kept me on the edge of my seat both times and, I decided to buy the book today. Well, I just got home with it about an hour ago and I read it through to page 60. That was when I decided to write my review. I love the book being in screenplay form, because it skips King's sometimes draggy descriptions and sticks with the dialouge. Several people are dissapointed in the format but I say that it makes it seem even more exciting. Well, I am going to take off to read hopefully another hundred or two pages. I'll be sure to post a complete review on the book when I complete it. So far, it certainly deserves 5 stars.

Summary: Possibly one ot King's best in a while
Review: I have to say for a while I was a little dissappointed in King's works. But he is back to the King I have been reading for 20 plus years. Storm of the Century kept me on the edge of my seat the whole 3 nights it was on. I will still read the book as soon as I can get it.

It was GREAT!! Keep them coming Mr. King, Thank you for Storm
