Rating: Summary: What I saw on tv was great. Book should be better! Review: I was taping "storm" and of course the cable went out on the last day 10 minutes before it was on. Go figure!
Rating: Summary: The Storm of the Century - THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY Review: People have categorized this book as a horror story, most of them based their ideas on the fact that this character, Linoge, induces people into committing suicide and homocide.I think what it's scary about this story is the fact that Linoge plays the role of our inner feelings, thoughs and even our conscience. What's great about this book is the relationship of ONE imprisoned man vs. an entire community. Mr. King is very good at showing that it is the community the one imprisoned and the only way to break free is to confess their sins and take responsibilities of their actions. Perharps this was their way out. But if you want to know what road they chose, Read the book, you won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: Another "The kids know" story Review: I had my hopes set high when I bought this book, because the Kings Gunslinger/Avant Garde/Dragonslayer period was getting horribly boring. The first 20 pages was a pain to read because of the screenplay layout, but after a while I got used to the awkward format. The plot of the story is as old as the hills, but the main character is described in such a magnificent way, that he almost jumps from the pages. I am of course talking about Linoge, who is in my opinion the hero of this story. Read the book - not because you want a good thrill, but mainly because you want to meet Mr. Linoge.
Rating: Summary: Are they going to come out with a video? Review: I messed up when I taped "storm". Does anyone know
Rating: Summary: This book was absolutely fabulous! Review: This book Rocks, I loved it! There hasn't been a book like this in thousands of years! There probably will never be another book like this one ever. It touched me in so many different ways. I would really love to meet the author and tell him how much I admire this book. All of his other ones sucked, but this one is wonderful. Absolutely Fabulous!

Rating: Summary: A THRILLER WITH MOUNDS OF GORE-FOR HORROR LOVERS ONLY Review: As a first time S.K. reader, I can not compare The Storm of the Century to his other novels. However, as an experienced reader, I recommend it to any fan of the supernatural. Off the coast of Maine, in the middle of the so-called storm of the century, a tale of horror unfolds. A mysterious man by the name of Andre Linoge brutally murders a resident of Little Tall Island. He is apprehended with no trouble, it was almost too easy. As the blizzard becomes more pronounced more people are dying either by way of suicide or inhuman cases of sickening manslaughter. Although it is not HUMANLY possible(seeing as how he is locked up), it is evident that Mr. Linoge is responsible for the recent brutality. He has but one request of the islanders-GIVE ME WHAT I WANT AND I'LL GO AWAY! What does he want? Read The Storm of the Century and find out!
Rating: Summary: SUSPENSFUL! Review: This book was an excellant book. It was full of suspense and horror. I was left hanging until the end. It is a cleverly plotted horror/mystery novel.
Rating: Summary: A great scary movie. Stephen King has a great mind. Review: This movie was really scary. For once the bad-guy won finaly something different. It had a great plot.If you like scary books you will love this one.
Rating: Summary: Waste of Money Review: Buyer beware! If you, like me buy a book because Stephen King is the author; stop and look inside. This is a screenplay and is formatted as such-which makes it impossible to read as a novel. Took my copy back to store for a refund as soon as I realized what an arrogant thing he/they had done. I suppose there are those folks who would buy his grocery list,if he published it-I will no longer be one of those type.If you didn't see this on TV,wait for the video. Disgraceful to see a fellow Mainer go New Yorker
