Rating: Summary: A Must Read Review: BOOJUM is not your typical tale of good versus evil. Dan Skelton's book grips you with it's icy fingers from the very first page. He has accomplished with his novel, BOOJUM, a heart stopping story of terror, so frightening, that although your stomach churns, you cannot put the book down. You are compelled to turn the next page. The evil entity in this book ranks up there with the worst. If you like Stephen King, you'll love Dan Skelton's book BOOJUM - Cynthia Hickey, author of Pursued by Evil.
Rating: Summary: Why did it have to be here? Review: I read Dan Skelton's book for a book review at my college's student newspaper. He's from my area. The book also takes place in my area. Thanks, Skelton, now I'm afraid to sleep at night. This book went beyond anything I had imagined. It gave great detail about the setting and characters. Even if I wasn't from Arkansas, I think I could have fully found my self in the story. As I read, I felt like a "Boojum" was right outside of my window. I felt like I was the boy in the book. Skelton does an amazing job of putting the reader in the story. This book fulfills those desires for ghost hunts that everyone has as a kid. I know I'll never go to a cemetary at night again!
Rating: Summary: BOOJUM: Horror at its "best" Review: If you like to be on the edge of your seat, then you will love Boojum! Dan Skelton's words are so vivid and expressive that the reader is completely taken into the world of the story...you can feel the chill in the air and hear the tap of rain on the window. Boojum is an amazing story that will make you terrified to turn the page. It's been over a year since I read Boojum, but I still get chills thinking about it. This is definitely a tale you will never forget!

Rating: Summary: What a book Review: Mr. Dan Skelton has written a novel of believable, unimaginable horror. He has rivaled the great Stephen King. This novel was read only in saving daylight. It is a true MUST for horror fans. It is a true experience and I recommend it for any fan of novels and new authors. WOW!!!
Rating: Summary: Truly Scary Review: Skelton has created something truly terrifying, and I couldn't put down! Boojum has very well developed characters, with Skelton paying very close attention to details. He paints vivid pictures that are hard to get out of your mind. Things get very gruesome at times, and the language is a bit rough, so I wouldn't recommend it for youngsters, but all adults who enjoy a good scare should read Boojum.
Rating: Summary: Skelton book had me checking the doors were locked! Review: Skelton, a former professor, has a twisted mind. I loved the details and wished he had given me more. His use of language was very familiar and had me guessing on what was going to happen next. I see hints of Stephen King in the writing, but found that the reading was easier than King's.

Rating: Summary: this is a book you should read Review: The back cover of this book reads "Every 100 years a particularly malevolent spirit is released to rage against the world." Legend calls this spirit Boojum and it truly is malevolent. Boojum literally destroys creatures and feasts on their blood. When released, it inhabits a human body and wreaks havoc on the community. Boojum is loyal to Lucifer and only a pure spirit can beat it. In this case, the spirit belongs to a 5 year old girl. The Virgin Mary visits her and helps her see what she needs to do. She also has a friend in Elephant who she talks to in her dreams. Can she beat Boojum while it tries to destroy her?Author Dan Skelton has written a truly horrific story. His passages describing the attacks Boojum makes on animals and humans are extremely graphic. This creature feeds on total destruction of the human body. I found myself closing my eyes at the beginning of some of the passages as if hoping that part of the book would pass like in the movies. However, it didn't quite work that way! In fact, I wonder if he could have left some of the descriptive destruction to the reader's imagination. Skelton also went overboard in a couple of cases in setting the stage for Boojum's attacks. There were lengthy descriptions of the wind that rose up at night, the condition of the human body that Boojum inhabited, and the wealth and comfort of the church that Boojum attacked. When one or two adjectives would have sufficed, he used three or four. However, his descriptions left no doubt in your mind about what was going on in the story. If you enjoy horror stories, this is a book you should read. It certainly kept my interest! Review by Kathy Brummond of www.BookReview.com
Rating: Summary: BOOJUM: Horror at its "best" Review: WARNING! Boojum just may scare the daylights out of you. In the tradition of King and Blatty, Dan Skelton, the author of this book, presents possession and horror that cuts to the bone, literally and figuratively, and appeals to the most stalwart fan of the genre. Evil exists--and it is bad, very bad. Not for the faint of heart, the violence is graphic and the language raw. More than once, I had to ask myself, "Did I really just read that?" Yes, I did. I highly recommend this book, but don't read it alone--at night--in a storm! English prof in NJ
