Rating: Summary: "Don't go near the water..." Review: "Don't go near the water..." After Mari's death who would want to go near the water? She "supposedly" just drowned. Everyone seemed troubled by her death, but there was one person that enjoyed it, so much, that he laughed... Beach House written by R.L. Stine was an exciting book. It was a complete thriller that made you want to keep reading. Every page is a new adventure and keeps you yearning to find out what happens in the end. There are so many cliffhangers and so much suspense that you actually start feeling like you are in the book.
Beach House was a very exciting thriller because half the story took place in 1956 and the other half took place during present day. It was weird to see how many connections both of the years had. Even though the years are so far apart it is amazing on how much they are the same. For instance, during both years a group of friends were almost all murdered. All the murders were similar and left some of the same clues behind. The beach house was also in both years, being owned by no one, but just standing out of place on the desolate and "dark side" of the beach. It lingered in a way stalked by sending the teems mixed signals coming from the house.
"It was a complete thriller." Every murder that occurred is what made the thriller theme occur. Whether it happened from a stabbing in the ocean, or to being hit with a piece of plywood, or just disappearing into thin air, the author worded it in such a good way that you didn't want to put it down. There is something about the author phrases it that makes you want to keep reading. He keeps you want to keep reading and guessing from person to person on who's going to be the next one to be killed. Even if there were no murders going on some of the settings and sayings are just creepy.
"So much suspense." Every page was a new adventure not wanting to put the book down. From mysterious killings, to weird prank phone calls in the middle of the night, this book kept you guessing until the end of the book. Even the setting and the way it was worded was suspenseful
Beach House was exciting, a complete thriller, and full of suspense. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves thrillers. The age limit would probably be 6th grade + because of the scariness. I wouldn't recommend this book to someone who doesn't like fiction books, because this book contains a lot of fiction. I liked it because of the suspense, but some parts I didn't like as much because it was very unrealistic.
Rating: Summary: THE BOY WHO LOVED TO KILL Review: A deadly, bloody, freaky, and twisted book is Beach House by R. L. Stine. The characters in this book are Ronnie, Ross, Lucy, Maria, Amy, Brad, Buddy, and Stuart. You should read this book because its very violent, it is a mystery book that will keep you guessing, and it is very easy to read.
First, its very violent so all the readers who love a bloody book will love reading Beach House. You would want to keep on reading when you read abut who dies in the book. For an example when Buddy and Maria are at the beach, they go take a swim and someone will be killed.
Second, this is a great mystery book to read. It keeps the reader guessing and once you reach the end, you will not believe what will happen. I do not think anyone could figure out the end without reading the whole book. The things that I like about the characters in this book are that they are all unique and think differently about each other.
My final reason that you should read this book is because it is easy to read. You will understand every little detail that R. L. Stine put in the book. I like how he describes the characters and how he describes what each character is thinking about. The setting of the story goes from the present to the future.
In conclusion, this book is great to read for all teenagers and people who love reading bloody books. Beach House is a book that sounds so real for any teenager's life. This book is great because it is violent, mysterious, and easy to read.
Rating: Summary: massive brutal beastly murder Review: Do you get excited by massive, brutal murder? The book Beach House by R.L. Stine is a murder mystery that will shock the socks off of you. This story is about a group of friends that spend a summer at the beach. This story flashes back and forth from the 1950's to the present day or "This Summer." I liked this book for its characters, crazy and shocking ending, and its massive brutal killing.
One reason that I liked this book is because of its characters. There are, in the start of the book six main characters. The personalities of the characters are parallel between the two different time periods. For example, in both time periods there is a couple and they both feel similar and act similar to each other. I like all of these personalities because in one group of kids they all have different ones.
Another reason I liked this book is because of its shocking ending. This book had the most shocking ending put of all the books that I have ever read. The ending is so unpredictable. No one would have ever guessed that the ending would wind up the way that it did. The author gives you clues to the ending throughout the whole book. You don't realize what the clues are and mean until you reach the last couple pages of the book. That makes the ending really shocking!
My final reason for liking this book is because of the brutal killing. This book has the most unpredictable, and brutal ways of killing people. For example, someone gets beat down in the back of the head with a piece of driftwood and someone gets stabbed repeatedly. I know that it might sound wrong to like people dying. If you don't than why would you want to read this book any way, I mean the cover is a bloody bathing suit!
This book has great and unpredictable characters, a shocking ending and unpredictable brutal killing. My favorite part of this book was probably all of the massive, brutal murders and the way that they happen. Anyone who likes the thought of people dying, scary murder or gory movies, mysteries, or just brutal killing will love this book as much as I did. This was the best book that I have ever read!
Rating: Summary: Too Cool to Live Review: "The sun is hot. The water is cold. And the kids are cool. To cool to live." (Beach house, R.L. Stine)
It all started, summer of 1956, when Amy and Ronnie went down the shore for their summer vacation, and nothing but bad things happened. The thrill of this book is magnificent. It keeps you reading and the pages just turn for you. After every chapter, Stine leaves you hanging which makes the book even more interesting to read.
This book had many exhilarating moments. It made you want to keep reading and never stop. The first person that made this book exciting was Maria. Maria was the first to be killed by Buddy. She met Buddy on the beach one of the first days she was there. Buddy killed Maria, but Maria didn't like him back so when she lied to him, it made him want to kill her; which he eventually did.
Another thing that put the thrill into this book was Buddy. Buddy showed up on the beach one-day, "supposedly" just looking for friends. After people betrayed him, he then murdered them, one by one. First, with Maria, then Stuart (etc.), people just kept disappearing, being murdered by this psychotic person, Buddy. Buddy then vanished almost completely for days after the murders occurred. People also found out that Buddy had a secret and was trying to hide something because he told everyone that the beach house was his, but really, it wasn't. If it wasn't Buddy's then who's was it?
One final thing that makes you not want to put the book down is how there is a secret behind every murder. After the murders occur with the few clues that there are, everything starts to make sense. After Stuart's death, Buddy had blood all over his t-shirt. After the murders occur, there's something that clicks that tells you he did it.
This book was so good that I didn't want to put it down. It was so thrilling and I really like that and the suspense of every chapter gave you. But on the other hand, I didn't like that some of the scenes or parts in the book were very unrealistic. Towards the end of the book, something's were very unbelievable. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a thriller and books that keep you in suspense.
Rating: Summary: Beastly Massive Murder/ Beach House Review: Beach House
Do you like beastly massive murder? In this exciting murder mystery called Beach House by R.L. Stine you will be hooked and won't be able to put it down. It is about a group of teens who go to the beach for some fun in the sun but are shocked and scared to see a brutal killer on the lose. You won't know what is about to happen until it happens and you will be shocked beyond misery. I liked this book because of its suspense, which is better then in any other book I have ever read. I also like this book because of it's interesting plot line, and finally it's great characters.
This book will keep you in for the whole book. You will be shocked when every exciting event occurs. It's impossible to predict what's going to happened you will be so amazed by it.
Next, this book has a very good plot line. It is a bout how a teenage boy starts killing his friends because they pulled a joke on him. He wasn't caught though because he found a way to escape to the future and under a new name, which is Brad and he starts killing again and there is only one problem and one person who can stop him who is one person who hw has already killed.
Finally, I like this book because of its interesting characters. One thing I like about them is that they are dynamic characters and they change throughout the book. They will trick you by being the nicest person in the world and then they will try o kill you the next day.
I think you will like this massive murder book because of it's great suspense, which will keep you in it for the whole book and it will keep you guessing, it also has a great plot line, and it has very interesting characters.
Rating: Summary: Full of drama Review: Beach House was one of the most suspenseful books I've read in a long time. Almost all of the book was interesting. If you like R.L. Stine then this book is for you. This is a difficult book to understand until the end. It has a lot of drama in it.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic! Review: For me it was the perfect book to do a book report on! It was great! Very thrilling and surprising! I could never put it down!
Rating: Summary: unrealistic at the end Review: i don't want to give the story away, but during almost the entire book it was creepy. especially the part when the sharks ate maria. a basic serial killer story. a little like the teen slasher movies these days. .. now heres the unrealistic part: buddy, the killer goes from the 1950's to the 1990's in a time warp in the beach house. he does the to kill more kids. the marie comes back as a ghost to the beach house and becomes buddy's a.k.a brad's housekeeper. then they have a fight in the beach house and buddy dies. (maria does too.)bottom line is: very cool in the beggining and middle and part of the end, but when you talk about the time warp, its to cluttered and unrealistic
Rating: Summary: Bad ending, I thought. Review: I liked the book until the end.I thought it was bad for Stine's usual griping ones'.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: I loved this book! I would have never guessed the end!!!
