Summary: OH MY!!!
Review: This is Wal-Mart gone mad. I loved it. I am glad I discovered Bentley Little. He has fast paced, fun, exciting, easy to read books. I hope you like this one as much as I do.

Summary: Rubbish ,complete unadulterated trash .
Review: Not in the league of King . Very shallow , bad English writin

Summary: Glad I found out about Bentley Little.
Review: A friend of mine told me about Bentley Little, and said that he reminded them of Robert McCammon in a way. I picked up "The Store," and I just finished it. I think Bentley Little is a refreshing voice in the horror field, and I am looking forward to reading his earlier work.

It seems that most people here are complaining about the "tacked-on" ending for this book. Personally, I think that, while the ending could have been done a little better, it was a good, non-fairy-tale ending for this novel.

Pick it up, I think you'll enjoy it.

Summary: Like A Chris Carter TV series
Review: The Store reads like a great X-Files episode, kept me going on long into the nights. It's a very human, very entertaining yarn that can work as a fable or a thriller. The right amount of risque stuff increases the enteratinment value.

Summary: absolutely third-rate drivel
Review: When an author receives such undiluted praise and wins book awards, I am naturally interested; in this case, my interest was short-lived: after 40 or so pages, it became clear to me that the author writes on a third-grade level. It's embarrasing actually. So why the hype: I suspect that there may be some political correctness lurking somewhere here. Intelligent readers - save your money.

Summary: very easy read with captivating characters
Review: the title would make you think this was a boring plot. however the plot(this might have been a walmart e.g.)was feasible and the book was outstanding with very real and likeable characters.the horror overtones mixed with a little eroticism made for compelling reading would highly recommend.

Summary: BEST BOOK I EVER READ!!!!!
Review: I'm an avid reader - after reading this book, anything else I've read has been a total let-down. The characters and plot of this book follow you long after you've finished the book.

Summary: Fantastically Horrorific!!!!
Review: This was my first time reading a Little book, but I must say the man is a genius! Except for the expected last five pages, the rest of the story was totally surprising! Little kept the excitment at a grand level, and the plot a total secret. One never knew what may (or may not) happen next. I have already placed my order for the rest of his books! A must read!!!!

Summary: This is one GREAT read!
Review: This is my first Bentley Little novel, and I must say, "WOW!". I simply could not put this book down...at midnight, riding in the car, or on the beach; it just didn't matter where. Little writes with a smooth pen-stroke. While reading, I was often reminded of early King and Koontz when characters were original, and deep. The plot of the Store is terrific and terrifying. What would you do if a gigantuous powerhouse of a store moved into your neighborhood, and took over virtually everything? Read this book to find out. You WON'T be dissappointed!!!!

Summary: Very good, but disappointing ending
Review: This is my first Bentley Little book, and I think it's great. However, I found the ending completely disappointing. He seems to have fallen into a common pattern I see so often in books and movies: great idea, but not too sure how to end it.

I still recommend it, despite the ending.
