Rating: Summary: oh my, one of pike's best Review: i took this book on vacation and i couldn't put it down. this book has so many twists in the plot it makes the stroy completely unpredictable
Rating: Summary: I love this book! Review: I wish there would be a sequel, because this book was so cool. I read it in two hours. And the ending almost made me cry. Lots of dead people for those who like blood&gore.
Rating: Summary: SPELLBOUND is one of my favorite books. Review: My favorite part of this book was when Cindy fell into Snake River and Bala saved her. My favorite character was Bala. He was courageous and mystical. This book was great because there was lots of adventure and conflict between all the characters. I also liked this book because it was spirtual and detective-like. I would have never guessed that Joni had killed Karen and Ray. It was awesome how well Mr.Pike described some of the scenes through out the whole book.
Rating: Summary: Groovy and eccentric book to read! Review: Mystical and exciting!! Loved the way he described all the characters -- especially Bala--slice me off a piece of that beefcake! Couldn't have guessed the ending if I tried! Very fun reading!
Rating: Summary: Not one of his best but still creative Review: Ok so this guy has written better. But I am not saying that this book sucks. In fact, the contrary. I thought it was a really good book and I recommend it to all Chris Pike fans. The characters are cool (I loved Alex the best). Doesn't turn out quiet how you expect it, but it is a little predictable, not totally though. Have fun reading it.
Rating: Summary: Very stylish and entertaining for the young adult level. Review: Several years ago, I had the pleasure of reading Pike's Spellbound. I found it to be a very stimulating text. It is one of those novel that remain in the back of your mind, and bring a flood of satifaction with each reoccurring remembrance. Perhaps the best part, which creats the good memories, is the absence of reality when discussing the mystical powers of a particular character. It reminds me of when you play "what-if." I know some of you can relate, especially when "what-if" goes too far and becomes unrealistic. Although, in Spellbound it does not; the plot is suspenceful, and fast-paced near the ending, and remains realisic in that "what-if" type manner.
Rating: Summary: Extremely captivating and addictive. Review: Spellbound was a captivating book, from cover to cover. It seems a little far-fetched, but an interesting book nonetheless.I would recommend it to anyone, simply because it keeps you in suspense from the first 5 pages on, and you don't want to put the book down until you're completely finished. Take my advice, get the book
Rating: Summary: Very different for Pike's taste. Review: Spellbound was a very different book to read my Mr. Pike, if you've read enough of his works to see how he usually goes. This involved the supernatural, and the plot is just a tad far-fetched. Although, I must say it was kind of complicated. The length is average, a bit more than 200 pages, and you'll really appreciate it if you sit and read his other works of fiction.
Rating: Summary: Spellbound kicks a- - ! Review: Spellbound was the first CP book I read, it was great! If your're a first time Christopher Pike reader this will get you hooked! If you're an expirienced CP reader you'll appreciate his work in this book! It's about a group of teenagers looking for fun, but one of them is looking to clear his record. It takes place in a beautiful mountain town where some unexpected visitors arrive. Like the grandson of a Shaman in Africa and a quiet English beauty with entrancing eyes! You're sure to love it!
Rating: Summary: If you want to be scared, read Spellbound!! Review: THE SCARIEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!
