Summary: My first Laymon
Review: This was my first Laymon novel, and I loved it. It got me hooked on this writer, who is now my favorite horror novelist. This is a great introduction to Laymon. It's probably not his best book, and it was somewhat predictable, but it was still a fast-paced and fun read. I was left with a couple of questions at the end...but it didn't bother me so much.

Summary: AFTERNIOON DELIGHT
Review: This was the second book by Laymon that I read and I found it to be just as fun and exciting as the first. The plot is solid and the murders interesting. As I read I became more sure of who did it only discover how wrong I was. Lots of sex, gore and excitement. A great read over all!

Summary: Depends What You Want !
Review: Well... This is horror either at its worst or at it's best.

If you are looking for mean (undeveloped) characters, lots of gore, hideous crimes, cheating, murder, good cops, more gore, an 'overwhelmingly' impossible ending, drugs, constant sexual references, and obviously, the person you least expect is the killer... why of course.... Then this IS the book or you...

IF however you want a story with some meat, some characters you care about if the die, some suspense, some spine tingles and all that other great stuff then stay well away.

This book can be read in a few hours as it is so short and the complete book is dialogue based. I wanted something to read on a plane and this fitted the bill as it requires next to no concentration to keep up. This book does flow quite well, but at times the plot and the dialogue was laughable, and I doubt that was the point.

Summary: Another fun read by Laymon.
Review: What can I say, I'm hooked on Richard Laymon. I've loved everyone of his books, and Among the missing is no exception.

This starts off with a woman driving down a road in a jag and a very skimpy nightgown. She picks up a man and he suggests that they go to the beach and spend the night. He tells her it's going to be romantic. Wen the sun comes up, there's going to be a body, and more will me missing then the woman's clothes. A killer is on the lose, and he plans to kill more. This can be found out on the back cover, so nothing was spoiled.

This has your typical Laymon elements that are found in his books. Great characters (Merton was one sick puppy), woderful, and I mean, wonderful plot twists, horny characters, and lots of gore.

If you're a fan of Laymon, then you know his writing style, and you'll want to read this book. If you haven't read Laymon, then treat yourself to this good book. Laymon has also written The Traveling Vampire Show, In the Dark, and Island. All of this books are a fun read and you can't go wrong.
