Summary: Dead or alive
Review: A Review by Teddy

David Moore lives in the city. Six months ago, his father disappeared. Now he has seen him again.... in an abandoned subway station, surrounded by ghost like people. No one else can see this happening. Is David's father dead? Or alive? In order to find out David Moore has to enter the world of the Watchers.

I didn't like the way David's friends acted or the way David did really also. There wasn't really any actions accept David seeing his dad and the way it happens, but that is only mysterious and odd. The pace of the story was good and understandable, but you can't drop the book until you find out more about his dad. It was not real enough to happen to you. There were a few conflicts between David and his friends. The relevance to today's world is about how much children today miss their parents or how much they would if their parents went away.

This was not a very good book unless you like scary mysteries. You would be better off to find another book that more people have ever read. In a way it was hard to stop reading until you find something else out about David's father.

Summary: A very well done book
Review: David Moore is a teenager who's father has been missing for six months. His life has returned to normal, but he's still haunted by the sudden event. Where did his father go? Is he even still alive? It's something that bothers him constantly, and it doesnt help that the media is all over he and his mother about it, making it publicly known to everyone willing to listen. It's a very tough situation for David. Lately he's been taking the subway home, but one day he boards one that seems unsettling to him, very unfamilliar. Before it leaves, he sees his father out of the corner of his eye waiting to board an upcoming sub. Nobody else seemed to notice and David was miffed. He travels on the same sub again and again, each time spotting his father who is dropping strange items that David is using to get clues as to his whereabouts. He then gets worried and frustrated when he learns that nobody else can see him and that no matter how hard he tries, his father never notices him. What's going on?

Peter Lerangis' debut book in this series must not be missed. He wrote it in such an original and creative manner so as to not skip any details while still keeping you guessing what will happen next. You know everything that happens, especially the character's thoughts. The whole dark setting and unforgiving circumstances makes for a very intriguing storyline that you cant put down until you've been through it all. Although the book is short, it didnt fail to please me and keep my interest throughout the whole thing. It has a permanent spot on my bookshelf. It truely deserves more credit and recognition than it's received. This is definately a worthy buy and a well-written book that needs to be in every bookstore!

Summary: This book is great because It's based on real life situation
Review: David Moore is thirteen years old and lives in the city. Six months ago his father disappeared yet now David saw him in an abandoned subway station. There are also ghost-like people in this location and no one else can see them, but David. Is David's father dead? Or is he elsewhere?

I think this book is great because it is based on fantasy yet also real life situations. For example, a fantasy element occurs when supernatural beings and magical objects appear and the real life situation relates to how life is as we see it. Another reason I liked the book was when Anders was going crazy in his hotel apartment. One flaw that I didn't like in this book is when David was on the Sophie Karp Talk Show. I didn't like this part because he looked like an idiot by wearing girl's makeup.

Summary: I love ghost and mystery books so I couldn't put it down.
Review: David Morre's dad was spoused to come home, but he never showed up. David Morre is a 13 year old boy. His dad disippered while on a case. People think he's been kidnapped, but David doesn't. David was on the subway one day. He and his friends were riding to his house. They were passing an abandoned station when the train suddenly stopped. The lights flickered then went out. David looked out of the window and see's a bright light that blinds him. When his sight comes back he sees the station looks like a movie set, bright lights, new posters and a crowd. The doors open and a man walks out. Something falls out of his pocket and David picks it up. People cheer and pats the stranger on his back. While wondering what is happening, he spots a familiar face. It is his dad! I recommend this book for people who likes ghost and mystery books. I think ages 9 and up will like and understand this book. I read it and loved it. This is a Watcher Collection book. Published in 1998 by Scholastic Inc.

Summary: Cool
Review: I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 cause it wasn't the BEST book, but it sure was pretty good. the ending is really unpredictable and you never, ever would have guessed it, there is practically no clues to some parts at all. if you like out of this world stuff though, read it.

Summary: My favourite series
Review: I like Watchers. The books are hard to find but I managed to read No.1-4. I haven't read Island (No.5) yet but I reserve it at the Tao Payoh Library. It isn't scary (I'm not that type that scare easily by books) but the story, the plan is beautiful it's very interesting. My classmate agreed with me when she finally started reading it (boy, I recommended it to her so long ago and she only read it now!). Those people who didn't read it don't know what they're missing.

Summary: a good book gone bad
Review: My book Watchers was a great book with an ending that was terrible. It was a good book and made me want to keep on reading but then when I finally finshed it I was a little bit of a let down! :-( One thing that bothered me was that they had a lot of advance things happeing in the 1960's that shouldn't be happening. Even though I did not think this book was the best I would still recommend it to young readers(10-13). I think almost all readers would love this book. If you have ever lost a parent I would not suggest to read this book...

Summary: Watchers Last Stop
Review: Peter Lerangis wrote this book titled Last Stop. I think anyone from ages 7 and up can and should read this book. It is the best fiction book I ever read in my life. David Moore lost his father when he was young and never saw him again, until one day he and his friends take the subway and David sees his father. He thinks he is hallucinating, but is he really? I suggest you read this book, because it is a really great page turner.
