Rating: Summary: Thoughts of Hope and Betrayal Review: I was touched by "Music in the Night" about Laura and her struggle with her health, betrayal and hope. V.C. Andrews puts a lot of emotion into her writing that makes it seem oddly real. It is easy to believe that the cruel, cold-hearted Grandma Olivia would do this to Laura. I could really connect with Laura's feelings of confusion and anger. As Laura deals with her mental illness and her extraordinary jumbled mind you grow to pity and think like her. V.C. Andrews writes great stories with exquisite twists and turns. Young adult readers will love Andrews tails of betrayal and hope. Complied by Erin
Rating: Summary: a sad, bittersweet tale Review: a sad, bittersweet tale about a bright young girl, with dreams. she spends her days enjoying the sea with her beloved twin brother, but her world starts to crumble when her cold, viscous grandmother trys to force a future on her in which she doesn't want, and her twin brother's love becomes.. not so.. brotherly. then she meets gentle robert royce, they fall madly in love, and she feels carefree and happy once again- and she's better enjoy it while she still can, because within seemingly seconds her life crashes down around her, tragedy sweeps her away.. it's very well-written, and romantic. it is one that will keep you up all night reading. if you've read the four previous books in the logan series, than this one reveals alot of what you've been questioning, and is a bit of a shocker. oh yes, and keep the tissues handy.
Rating: Summary: Dramatic, Terrifying, Magical, and So Sad... Review: I stayed up till one a.m finishing this book. It was amazing. I can't believe such a story can come alive from words printing on paper. It was so romantic and magical... then drastic and terrifying. The end was so sad... I found myself crying through the last five chapters. This book is really moving, and perhaps the most exciting in the series. I really suggest you read it. It will bring tears to your eyes.
Rating: Summary: I love this book, and this series! Review: I loved this whole series, and to talk about Laura so much in the other books just made her a mystery! This book was great, in telling Laura's side of the story, and it was so unexpected!
Rating: Summary: The only novel that redeems an otherwise rambling series... Review: The whole Logan family series was as if the Ghostwriter had not thought out any of the plot or storyline and just rambled from one book to the next, dragging out a story that was boring and so full of holes and rambling thoughts it didnt make sense at certain points. I didnt have much hope for Music of the Night but boy, was I proven wrong. It turned out to be vastly different then the others. This novel should have been the prequal novel. It got my intrest up until Olivia came out. So, if you must read any book from the Logan family series, skip Melody, Heart Song, Unfinished Symphony and Olivia. Just read this one. You will be grateful that you did. What was written in Heart Song and Unfinished Symphony could have been crammed into Melody but alas, as this is a ghostwriter created novel we won't have that. VCA use to pack so much into one novel you wonder how she would surprise us next. Apparently the GW attempts to do that by dragging out the Logan family series.
Rating: Summary: Boring!!!! Review: I think this is the WORSE book of the Logans Series,no,probably the WORSE of V.C.ANDREWS'books,don't you agree?
Rating: Summary: I loved it! Review: This book was terrific, but my only complaint was the ending. I felt like I missed a chapter! What happened to Laura's parents? Did they think she was dead? Did they know she was at the mental hospital? Didn't Cary go look for her after she and Robert failed to come back to shore? Anyway, I still enjoyed it. Laura and Robert's love was so real, I think I almost fell in love with him myself. I thought for sure at first that Cary was going to kill Robert by intentionally throwing him overboard on the boat. :-) I have to read the books before this. As usual, I love anything VC Andrews writes.
Rating: Summary: The Best V.C Andrews Book ever written Review: I really loved this book mainly because there was no incestous relationships in it grrr i hate when she does that in her books can't they find someone out of their blood line to marry? This isn't the jerry springer show. Anyways I really loved this book because I'm totally into the romance novels and Roberts love for Laura was so sincere and heart filling I actually shed a tear when robert had his accident this book is so sad but its just a masterpiece its a must read
Rating: Summary: Laura Login Review: I jumped into this 4th series without knowledge of the 3 before. Laura and her love for Robert touched my heart. When they were on the sailboat together thanks to her brother Cary, I was happy. I knew she loved him deeply and he her. After their wonderful time together on "Laura's Cove" as Robert officially named it, I thought they would be together forever. But the ocean got wild and furious and pulled them apart. from that point on poor Laura had it so rough with amnesia and Olivia had her put in that mental place. Over time Laura began to get her memory back and then when I least expected it she was gone. It was so sad but very good. I'm sure anyone that reads this book will find it as captivating as I.
