Rating: Summary: Love is found but she paid a price Review: She found love a good home a loving brother but an enfortunate thing happens and she is put in a mental insition where she finds one good friend a guy at the end it was really touching at the end. so read this book and youll enjoy it so much youll thank me later
Rating: Summary: Music is trite Review: I didn't like this book because the characters were taken from the molds of earlier ghost-written V.C. Andrews books. Cary was a weirdo who seemed to subconsciously (or not so subconsicously) lust after Laura. He doesn't respect her privacy at all (a typical V.C. Andrew's character trait, though she made it more interesting, or humorous, with Bart Foxworth eavesdropping in the corners and other characters spying on their family members'). Laura is obnoxious. And it takes her all of seventeen years to realize that perhaps she and her twin brother are a little "too" close. Robert was very unromantic, perhaps because he was too romantic. How could anyone fall in love with him? I'm glad Laura had a bit of a moral dilemma when it came to sleeping with people. All the other girl narrators hop into bed with whomever they please. But she hurdles over her guilt quickly. It was stupid when Laura was almost raped at the institution. It just goes to show you how predictable these stories are (every character is either raped or almost raped at some point in their lives). Oh, I just can't say anymore because this book was just so BORING!!! I'm honestly at a loss for words. Thought there was one funny line. Jacob Logan tells Laura that Cary should have been born a bat so that he could live in a belfry. YEAH!
Rating: Summary: Good Book but... Review: Music in the Night was a good V.C. Andrews book, but i didn't like the ending. It could have ended better and it should have.
Rating: Summary: Did I miss something? Review: This book was well-written and I was glad that a book came out in the Logan family series to explain the whole Cary-Laura issue. However, the first three novels in this series were about Melody and it didn't feel like it really ended; then this book came out, and then Olivia. This wasn't the "norm" for V.C. Andrews books. I would recommend this book to those who have read the previous books in the Logan family series and would like to know more about the Cary-Laura relationship and what really happened. Otherwise, the Logan family series is for the most part a waste of time.
Rating: Summary: Haunting and beautiful Review: I Liked this book because it was realistic about teenage life and deciet and secrets. It was beatifully tragic and very intriging.
Rating: Summary: great book Review: I read this book a few years ago, it was the 4th VC andrews book I read, and I liked it the best then. I went on to read basically every single one out then I was browsing around amazon and decided to buy it and read it again, I loved it this time too! This book is wonderful because it shows the true emotions of what a teenager feels like when there in love, and the real life pressures a teen has, I loved this book and it is still my favorite vc andrews book! Definitly buy it.
Rating: Summary: Music in the night review by vanessa Review: The reason I choose this book is because the title seemed interesting. The cover was so mysterious and enchanting I just had to pick up this book. To me this book just became so enticing that I began to read the back and after that I could not put it down. So this is why I picked out this book to read. The main character in this book is Laura Logan. All Laura wants is to have a normal life. She has a twin brother named Cary and a deaf sister named Mary. Her brother gets so jealous if he sees her with a guy or if a guy looks at her. She's in her senior year of high school and still has no boyfriend, until Robert comes and doesn't care what Cary would do to him. The reason I like this book is because it is kind of story that brings you to the edge of your seat and keeps asking you questions like; what's going to happen next or why did they do this or that? This book is filled with excitement and fun. Another reason I like this book is because it is about action and reaction. The obsessions of humans and what happens when the obsessions get the best of human emotions. This book has love, jealousy and obsession. These reasons all tell you why I like this book.
Rating: Summary: This book kicks (...)! Review: Though it's hard to say, I think this book is my favorite of the Logan series. I thought it was a great touch to hear from Laura's point of view & hear her story rather than following the traditional V.C. "pattern" and writing about Haile. Laura is a very loveable character, and of course you know from the beginning a little of the story & that it will be sad. It is, I cry every time I read it! But it is very interesting and there is quite a few surprises & twists to the story that you'd never guess! Read it! It's AWESOME & worth every minute!!
Rating: Summary: I loved Music in the Night Review: I really enjoyed this book. I think this is one of the best that the ghostwriter has written.
Rating: Summary: SOS - SAME OLD STORY Review: Another tired VC Andrews/Ghostwritten story about a talented young woman and an embittered, vindictive woman named Olivia. Olivia, in true villainess form railroads everyone and ends up committing our fair, long-haired, pure heroine to an institution. Count on standard tired fare -- a vile creature named Olivia and a bright, talented young woman. Throw twins and close fraternal relationships into the mix and you have an instant V.C. Andrews cliche.
