Summary: Not 2 shabby
Review: Only one major con: Tommy was one of the most boring characters invented by Koontz. His mother, Del, and even the dog were more lively. Del was crazy, saying odd things ( things I say all the time in fact), but I found her to be similar to myself, well, except for when we find out more about her at the end, and you won't believe this one!
The evil thing chasing them is very interesting, I must say. No one knows who it is or why it's so determined to whipe Tommy and his companions of this planet.
The jokes and the stunts are worth reading this book.
This reads different from most Koontz books, it's like a musical version of Xena, some laughs and costumes thrown in, but sit back, and buckle you'r seat belt. It's a bumpy ride.

Summary: Amusing and Creepy
Review: I've only read a few Dean Koontz books so far though in a few days I begin to attempt to read them all. Tick Tock was unlike the other books I'd read. It seemed to be a little clumsy and slightly unorganized. But as I read through it, I found it all coming together. After consulting a diehard Dean Koontz fan friend of mine, she suggested I read other books before Tick Tock as she didn't feel that it was truly worth the read of someone just discovering Dean Koontz. She wanted me to experience better. I found that I really loved Tick Tock however. I found myself laughing as often as I found myself staring intently at the book in suspense. This book, in my opinion, is fabulous.

Summary: Fast paced and almost hilarious in parts
Review: If you are a fan of quirky, funny suspense type stories, this is a must read. Far less serious than most of Koontz work, Tick Tock takes you on a fast paced adventure of extremely odd happenings. From the time that vietnamese-american Tommy Phan finds the little rag doll on his doorstep, the oddities just keep coming from both sides of the stage. This book is a quick read and a lot of fun. Whenever the main character's mother shows up, expect your funny bone to be tickled as she constantly hounds him about being too "amercanized". The dailogue between the two as they bicker forced me off the couch at one point because I was laughing so hard! For me, this book goes right along with McCammon's Gone South novel as my favorite funny reads of all time. I just love this kind of stuff!

Summary: It's a toss up
Review: It's a toss up, this isn't my fav. Koontz book. I just found the plot of a tiny rag doll harassing this man, a little out there. However, I tried to put that out of my mind... My favorite part was the last 100 pages, I liked the ending. If you're looking to read something by Koontz, I wouldn't recommend this book first. If you're a loyal fan like me, read it, it's a part of his library. But if you are looking to just try him, I'd recommend you read something like Intensity or Fear Nothing first. They are much better books.

Summary: So far out and humorous that I couldn't stop laughing!
Review: This one, as some of his others, show that Dean Koontz has my kind of wacky sense of humor, which can be dark, but outrageouly funny! I love the Mom who won't learn to speak English, after being the States for so long. It has the scary and bizarre, but I found it to be one of his funniest books. His *sense of humor* was hitting a 12 on the richter scale when writing this.

Summary: KEYSTONE KOONTZ
Review: Imagine one of those 30's screwball comedies mixed with a tacky B scifi movie from the 50's and you have the ingredients of this Koontz work. The first and last parts of the book are a lot of fun---Koontz pulls off some delightfully zany scenes, but in the middle it bogs down with too much superfluous narrative and the characters bog down. At first you think Koontz is going to pull a "Trilogy of Terror" rip-off, using the voodoo doll to torment our hero, Tommy Phan, as the little monster did in the Karen Black classic. However, this doll grows as the story develops and turns into something out of "The Hidden." Deliverance Payne is obviously not what she seems and you can pretty much figure out what she really is early on, by just following her questions. The dog, Scootie, is a typically well-drawn Koontz animal, but the real stars of this book are the hero/heroine's mothers. Mrs. Phan is a laugh riot, as is Deliverance's mother who has about 75 different first names. The book doesn't really have a real scary feel, some slight suspense, but the humor is certainly something you don't find in most of Dean's darker tales. "Tick Tock" is enjoyable, though, but it's certainly not one of his best works.
RECOMMENDED FOR THE LAUGHS.

Review: By far this is one of my top ten books by Dean Koontz. It has horror, humor, and a bond between the main characters and yourself. I would recomend anyone over the age of 16 to pick this up on a day when they can have a chance to read it fully and enjoy every minute. Have fun!

Summary: Really great and fun read.
Review: This is about the third book I read by Koontz, the other having been read about 8 years ago, but I thought this one was great. It's a shorter novel and fast paced. It basically tells about one night where a man and a women- who seems a bit loose some screws- are on the run from a demon who has been summoned to kill the male character. The author takes a lighter tone with this novel and makes you laugh at times over the dialogue between the lead character and those he knows. The only thing I felt could have been better was the ending. It wasn't as climatic as I would have like, but still definitly good. Definitly read this book if you like horror suspense with some laughter along.

Summary: Great Read. My first but not my last Koontz books.
Review: When in the store i saw this book with a great looking cover and pick it up and started to read the back cover. Since the time i was done reading the back cover of the book i knew i had to read it. It was my first Dean Koontz books and it will not be my last. I have to say it was such a great book i think it would be a great Blockbuster thriller movie. It was better than i thought his chacrters are great and there are a lot of twists and turns. I love it. It a must buy. But it should be given to somebody else to read because siting on a self would not be right. 5 out Of 5 stars for this one.

Summary: Tick Tock by Dean Kootz
Review: Tick Tock by Dean Kootz is a suspenceful book. Tick Tock was about a novelist, Tommy Phan, who comes home to a doll on his doorstep. But not any doll, a strange looking doll covered in all white with black stiches all over it. Being curios, Tommy Phan brings the doll in the house but that night he hears things and as he looks to see what it is the stiches are popping off of the heart of the doll. Then something comes out and he doesn't know what it is. Soon after that he finds a message from the doll on the computer... I think that this book is a good book for people that like to be scared and suspenced.
