Summary: A really good book that anyone should read!!!
Review: This book was really great. The storyline was very interesting, the soulmate principle was in full form, and the characters were well described and understood. I also like this new thing about the apocalypse, and the four standing against it. I can't wait until they find the other three Wild Powers (I won't tell you who the Wild Power is in this book. It would ruin the surprise!) Jez, Morgead, and the rest of the characters were great, and I hope to see them popping up in some of the other books, as well as some of her previous characters (Ash, M'lin, Quinn, Rashel, Poppy, and Blaise in particular). I hope that L. J. Smith keeps doling it out! ~Sunn

Summary: an excellent book.
Review: I like how L.J. Smith subtly connects all her NightWorld books. Jez Redfern is the heroine of this one, she is the only half-human half-vampire known of. She changes from a vampire raider to a member of the notorious Circle Daybreak. But. Her soulmate (vampire gang member Morgead) gets in the way. Also, this book introduces a new plotline concerning the end of the world as we know it. This was a really cool book, and it's nice to see Lily Redfern get vaporized

Summary: This book is wonderful.....
Review: It's the best NightWorld one yet. This book had more action then the others, and it wasn't so involved with the "soulmate" theme. Ignore the summary on the back, it's kind of misleading. I enjoyed the apocalyptic context, very interesting

Summary: new twist to the series
Review: Jez Redfern has grown up believing that she is one of the lamia, the born vampires, only to find out that she's only half vampire. The other half is human, and if any one in the Night World found out, they'd kill her. Now living with her human mother's family, she kills those in the Night World who hunt humans. Circle Daybreak, a group that wants harmony between the Night World and humans, gives Jez a mission. They heard that Morgead, a member of the gang Jez used to be a part of, has a Wild Power, a person mentioned in prophecies about the end of the world. If Jez can't get the Wild Power to someplace safe, the world will end at the turn of the new millenium.

The Night World series now has a particular direction it's going in, and it's a thrilling one to read about. Just a warning, though: as far as I know, the series never gets finished, and we never get to see what happens at the turn of the new millenium. In this book, we get to see someone walk two worlds in a different way than we're used to in this series. Jez leads a double life with her new family and with Morgead, her soulmate. I would've liked it if this book had been a little longer; everything seemed to happen so quickly, and it made me wish there were more for me to read.
