Summary: Disappointed
Review: I wanted an introduction to Little's work, read the wonderful reviews here, and bought the book.
If I were still a teenager and cutting my teeth on horror, I might have said it was kind of cool but I was raised on King, Rice, Matheson, Clive, and later, Poppy Z.
I couldn't finish this story. I just didn't care.
I have another book by Little and I will give it a go to see if he can change my mind, but if you're looking to be swept up, away, and into another world that is more exciting than your own ... keep looking.

Summary: 'Graphics'
Review: If you like to read graphic-sexual novel then read it. The over all idea is good and kind of new but too much of graphic discription ruined the book. It become like thse Straight to VDO C grade horror flick.

Summary: Ending is disappointing
Review: Kept my interest for the first two thirds of the book. The ending seemed to meander. Feel the book probably should have ended earlier.

Summary: Ancient Mythology+Modern Terror=Unforgettable tale of horror
Review: Little has written another cold-blooded classic of horror. This is the only horror novel I know of that combines ancient greek myths and supernatural evil and creates a tale of terror that you will never forget. While other horror authors try to go mainstream Little sticks to what he knows best: scaring the hell out of his fans and with that he has no peer!

Summary: ANCIENT MYTH MEETS MODERN TERROR
Review: LITTLE IS ONE THE MOST VERSATILE HORROR AUTHORS IN THE MARKET TODAY. DOMINION IS A GREAT EXAMPLE. HE TAKES THE GREEK MYTH OF DIONYSUS AND COMBINES IT WITH SUPERNATURAL EVIL TO CREATE A MODERN TALE OF HORROR. THIS BOOK HAS ALL THE INGREDIENTS THAT MAKE HIS BOOK SPECIAL: GRAPHIC VIOLENCE, ATMOSPHERE OF TERROR AND SOME EROTICISM. YOU WON'T FORGET THE LITTLE TOWN IN CALIFORNIA THAT IS THE SETTING OR THE HORRIF EVENTS THAT OCCUR.

Summary: INSANE
Review: Little really goes to the extreme in this book of gods and witches.
The sex in this book is crazily graphic and outlandish. I was almost disappointed by the ending but the rest of the book was so crazy I didn't really notice.

Summary: Bentley's best book, get this first!
Review: Mr. Little hit a home run of horror with this one, but most of his others are either grounders or just plain fouls. This has an original story of Greek gods coming back to life in Napa valley.
Wine, blood, sex, murder, sex, wine, blood, ect...you get the point. With a decient love story put in the mix for good measure, fast plot, and for once a good ending, you can't miss with Dominion.

Summary: Just silly
Review: Oh, I was hoping for so much more! The reviews I read here are what led me to buy this book. I have to say that it was an extreme disappointment. The idea sounded great, and the story started off really well, but kind of lost itself about halfway through. True, it is very graphic, but graphic descriptions of eviscerations and such do not necessarily add up to a good horror story. In the end, the whole thing just seemed really silly.

Summary: Id Unleashed
Review: The story of the resurrection of a pre-Christian god, with all the orgies, drinking and violence you'd expect. This is a well-written, compelling book, that becomes a bit formulaic towards the end.

The best thing about the novel is that it doesn't fade from the consequences of the events. After Dion is changed, Napa tears itself apart.

But Mr. Little seems not to know what to do next. He climaxes early, and meanders a bit near the end. Too bad he couldn't have published it with 75 -100 fewer pages.

Not that the book is dull. It isn't. It remains intense and compulsive reading throughout, but it loses direction for a while.

Still, a great book, with vivid sensory details and genuine chills.
