Summary: Good, Not Great Thriller
Review: Wow, everyone else liked this book ALOT more than I did. It was good, but not great in my opinion. I'll say the twisted ending was REALLY good and unexpected. But I found the rest of the book kinda predictable. Also the bad guy is almost supernatural in his abilities. He manages to steal a fireman's uniform and break into an FBI safehouse faster than you can yell "Fire". Don't firemen lock their firehouses? There were a few other examples like this, that I felt really stretched believability and detracted from the story. For Mr. Deaver's next book, I'll wait for the paperback.

Summary: Don't miss this one!
Review: Sharply defined characters, intriguingly choreographed plot twists, dry humor, a drop-dead surprise ending--it's all here in this latest blockbuster! This is my first experience with Jeffery Deaver, and it will NOT be my last. Buy this book, share it, read it! You will NOT be disappointed. I personally guarantee it.

Summary: Series keeps getting better--this is well-worth your time.
Review: This is the second in the Lincoln Rhyme series. Again, it is a very fast-paced book and absorbing, but not a contender for any sort of longevity.

The relationship between Rhyme and his protege Amelia Sachs continues to develop and Rhyme has to fight off not one, but two amorous women in the course of the novel. Wish-fulfillment on the part of his creator?

The search for the killer, a professional contract killer, is just as breathless as the search for the serial kidnapper/murderer in the previous book, though it is a bit more believable this time to have everything compressed into a 48-hour time period, as the killer scrambles to get rid of a trio of witnesses before they can testify before a grand jury.

Couple this with a neat twist at the end which, for once, actually makes sense and causes one to reconsider what has gone before, and this adds up to an enjoyable excursion through a "forensic procedural" (though, compared to Patricia Cornwell and some of the authors mining this subfield, Deaver might be more "forensic procedural- lite").

It's also a better book than the first one and shows that there's still plenty of room for the continued development of the character of Lincoln Rhyme.

Summary: A thriller written by a craftsman
Review: Jeffery Deaver brought something new to the thriller world when he created the implausible yet believable Sachs-Rhyme duo in The Bone Collector. His convoluted and technically accurate plot was a welcome surprise in a world so full of Thomas Harris imitators. But the greatest surprise is that Deaver was able to write another superbly crafted novel with different yet recognizable elements which he had already used in his first works. His Coffin Dancer gives a whole new meaning to the word "deception" and Rhyme gains unexpectedly new dimensions within his own deceiving immobility. The link provided by Sachs, tying together so many loose ends and somehow uniting the hunter and his prey (and they are hard to tell apart), is an exquisite touch. The Sachs-Rhyme partnership will do wonders. One can only hope Deaver is able to do it again. A better craftsman is yet to be found.

Summary: Bizarre, spell-binding-couldn't put it down
Review: My first Jeffery Deaver's book, but certainly not my last! I read a lot of mysteries and can usually come up with the perpetrator, but not with this one!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Non-stop suspense,unexpected twists. A fantastic read.
Review: The Coffin Dancer is truly a book that you will not want to finish; at least not until Mr. Deaver has another book ready to read. Lincoln rhyme is at his best, and Amelia Sachs is getting better and better. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough, and I truly hated to reach its conclusion.

Summary: Fantastic...Jeffery Deaver is great!
Review: Jeffery Deaver has once again created a page turner with The Coffin Dancer. I hope he is well on his way with a third in the series featuring Lincoln Rhyne. Technical detail coupled with emotion made me not want to put it down. Thank you, Mr. Deaver!

Summary: looking foward to another Rhyme's and Sach's novel!
Review: Wonderful! He kept me guessing and left me with a surprise at the end. I enjoy a great thriller and none is better then Jeffery Deaver's books with Rhymes and Sacks, please don't make us wait long for the next book with these characters, all other books now seem dull in comparison.

Summary: I loved this book and this author !!!
Review: I didn't think I could read a book I liked better than "Bone Collector", but this book was the greatest. I have made it a point to read everything Jeff Deaver has written and hope against hope that he's writing another Lincoln Rhyme book right now. I have enjoyed all of his books, but these two with Lincoln Rhyme as the main character are my absolute favorites. If you haven't read any of his books, be sure to read "Bone Collector" first and then "Coffin Dancer" next.

Summary: Jeffrey Deaver is the Best!
Review: This book was excellent, I just wish there was a part 3 out already, I don't feel like reading any other author right now, Jeff Deaver has spoiled me. Just like the other people that have reviewed here, I was also fooled by the ending, just when I thought I had the upper hand, he chilled me to the bone with a shocking twist.

Read this book, if you like thrillers, you will love this
