Summary: Not Worth the Candle
Review: I love horror and mystery stories, but this one was tedious and predictable from start to finish. The descriptions were stock footage and the climax was evident far too soon. Too bad it wasn't nearly as interesting as the picture on the paperback cover.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I love Tamara's books, I cannot put them down! This one is not as scary as 'Haunted', but it still keeps you turning those pages! "Moonfall" has a couple of slow spots but once you turn the page, you are hooked again. Tamara's books always add a bit of the erotic to her stories that just adds to the horror. TAMARA, GIVE US MORE! I love her books, the are scary from the first page and just increase from there.

Summary: An entertaining read
Review: I loved "Haunted" and well Moonfall isn't the book that Haunted was, it is still enjoyable in its own right. The main problem with Moonfall is that it is rather tedious, and not really scary. This is because there is simply too much description of the gargoyles. Tamara Thorne creates this fascinating character of Dr. Dashwood, and a bunch of twisted nuns, and then focuses in on these goofy gargoyles??? You will guess who/what the gargoyles are early on. I really liked the characters of the book, Minerva-an old healer, Sara Hawthorne, John Lawson, and Mark his son are all interesting personalities. Unlike Haunted however, the book was kind of long and at times boring. Too often, the same issues were reiterated endlessly. I wish Tamara Thorne would write more books, in the vein of Haunted however. While this is not great, its still a lot better than a lot of horror floating around out there.

Summary: MoonFall Grabbed Me And Didn't Let Go
Review: I only recently read MoonFall. It kept me turning the pages long after I should have turned out the Lights! A thrill ride through terror set in a small village just the way a good horror book should be. This lady gives you a great plot and wonderful characters with a clear picture in your mind of what the town is like. She is definately a force to be reckoned with in the Horror Genre. I will be looking on the bookshelves for the name Tamara Thorne now. I love her style of writing! She grabs you from page one and keeps your interest peaked until the very last page and then you wish it lasted longer. Move over there is a new Queen of horror and her name is Tamara Thorne. I look forward to the next ride into terror. If this keeps up I may have to sleep with the lights on!

Summary: Witches !
Review: I really enjoyed this book! The combo witches / haunted house theme was right up my alley. It stayed creepy from start to finish. I've had trouble finding good 'witch' fiction - this one was not disappointing !

Summary: A positively great book!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was better than her last ("Haunted") and it was WAY better than J.G.Passarella's recent novel. I've learned that just because an Amazon "recommended" book has 4 or 5 stars doesn't meant I'll love it (not the case here - it was great). I don't know how Tamara Thorne could write "Haunted" in 1995 and "Moonfall" in 1996 and then ... nothing! When will we get more? Personally I think that "Tamara Thorne" is a pseudonym for some other writer. It just doesn't make sense. And what is this "Body House" book that some online services have been listing for several years as "coming soon" or "out-of-print" ? Did it ever exist? Was it the precursor to "Haunted" ? In any case, I can't wait for another book by this person!

Summary: Just As Good!
Review: It seems that many people are saying that this book wasn't as good as Haunted but I found it to be just a great. It was spellbinding and it kept you interested the whole time. It was really freaky to find out that the nuns were carrying on the way they were and how evil they could be. I love the way Tamara writes and I am waiting very calmly for her next book to come out. Hurry up Tamara, we're waiting !!

Summary: Another Great Tamara Thorne Novel
Review: My first exposure to Tamara Thorne was with Haunted, which was so excellent my boyfriend and I were raving about it for weeks. So I was extremely happy when Moonfall came out. It more than lived up to my expectations. Though the synopsis on the back cover didn't sound so exciting, the story gets going and keeps on going right from the start. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good, original horror story, who appreciates tongue-in-cheek writing, and who wants a story that doesn't lull.
