Rating: Summary: This book is too good to put down. Review: V.C. Andrews always is able to spell bind the reader, and keep them coming back for more! This book is very good, and all the other books she has written, are worth your reading time!! Enjoy!!
Rating: Summary: It was an interesting and sad book. Review: Melody, like all of V.C. Andrews' books, was good. Although it had a twist like her other books, it still was spellbinding.
Rating: Summary: Gripping! Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read in my entire life. I brought it to read on a class trip and I could not put it down at all. Everyone should read it.
Rating: Summary: Just like all of V C Andrews books, I enjoyed this one also Review: Melody is the tye of book you dont want to put down. She loses her father at a young age and then is forced to go live with family that she has never met. She is faced with many problems throughout the book and eventually learns the truth about her parents. I am eager to start the next book in this series
Rating: Summary: I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!!!! Review: I started that book about 5 hours ago, and just finfished the last page about 10 min ago. It's the best V.C. andrews novel I have read to date. Well I hope you enjoy it as much as me, I'm just about to start the second in the series now...Have FUN!!!
Rating: Summary: This is one of V.C. Andrews' best work Review: Growing up in a small town, Melody had always led a sheltered life. She and her father were very close. Whenever she had a problem or a question, he would stop what he was doing and talk to Melody. Sure her mother was around, but not very often. If she was not working, she was out parting with friends. One day Melody's life took a turn for the worse. When she arrived home from school to find her mother at home. Her mother was sitting on the couch bawling. Struck with confustion, Melody ran to her mother's side with questioning eyes. Her mother told Melody that her father was under ground mining when ther tunnel collasped and he was killed. His death would change Melody's life forever. Melody's mother did not know what to do. She wanted to go to L.A. and pursue an modling/acting career. She told Melody that they were going to visit her father's family in Provincetown. Melody had never meet her dad's family because they had a fall out right before Melody was born. When they arrived in Provincetown, her mother stunned Melody. She told Melody that she was to stay here and live with her dad's brother, her Uncle Jacob. With her mother gone, Melody was forced to live in Jacob's house, in his dead daughter, Laura's room. Laura's twin brother Cary was down right mean to Melody from the start. Cary's deaf sister May absolutely loved Melody from the start. Melody's grandmother was an old bat. She was mean to every one and made them live, talk and act how she sees right. While living in Provinctown, Melody discoverd her whole life back home was a lie. V.C. Andrews' book Melody is a page turner throughout. One startling event leads to another. With romance, mystery and drama, this book will keep you up tell all hours of the night. You will feel like you are right next to Melody living her life with her. You will feel sorry for during the sad parts of the book and happy for Melody during the exciting time. If you are looking for an absolute magnificent book to read I recommand Melody to any and eve! ryone.
Rating: Summary: A good book but not the best! Review: I think the character of the Melody is really sweet, but the story gets too boring after awhile, but I still enjoyed reading it.
Rating: Summary: An entertaining and fun book! Review: This is a very entertaining book and I recommend it to anyone looking for a book to read and a series to continue.
Rating: Summary: Incest, again, and again, and again...dull. Review: having just finished Melody I feel that I ought to reflect on it. Melody is another carbon copy of the Dollanganger series, Melody's beloved father dies in the first chapter and then the mother becomes terribly selfish and leaves Melody with relatives, whilst staying with her new found family, melody discovers that the family is riddled with the ubiquitous incest and the story follows on with this particulaly poor storyline. Even though I say all this, I thoroughly intend to read Heart Song and any future publications due to my commitment to the memory of the late V.C Andrews, but I sincerely hope that the ghost writing improves.......
Rating: Summary: 500 thumbs up !!! Review: THIS WAS THE BEST ANDREWS BOOK YET! I WAS ALMOST CRYING WHEN HER FATHER DIED AND WHEN SHE HAS TO LEAVE. I HOPE THAT CARY AND MELODY END UP TOGETHER. THEY AREN'T RELATED SO THERE REALLY ISNT' ANYTHING STOPPING THEM EXCEPT CARY'S DAD SHOULD LIGHTEN UP.
