Rating: Summary: When Melody's life is turned upside down who can help her? Review: This book is about a young girl named Melody whose life is turned inside out, when her father is killed in the coal mines. She is devastated about her father's death. Soon after his death her mother gets with the guy who works at a saloon in their town. Her mother tells her that they are moving with the guy whose name is Richard. She is very upset that she has to leave her friends, and her wanna-be grandparents. Melody thinks that she is going to be traveling with her mom, and her new stepfather, but instead her mom takes her to stay with her father's brother. She has never met them before, yet she is suppose to live with them. While staying with them she discovers all kind of stories about her mother and father she had never know before. She is so hurt, but before she can talk to her mom, her mom dies. The only person left to talk to be a man who is suppose to be her real father.
Rating: Summary: A really good read, and well written Review: I really enjoyed Melody. It wasn't as devastating as some of her other books. It wasn't as complicated either.
Rating: Summary: You Got To Read This Book! Review: Melody is a girl with strength. Even though she messes her Mom alot, and which that her dad didn't die and her mom was different, all she wants is the truth to find out who she is. I can relate to Melody because I have never seen or known my father. She lost her father, and in a sense I lost my father as well as. In sense it might of been better of me to lose my father in a way that if I have seen his face that, I would went out my mind to see him . But Melody conditions are very differnet. I mean she has grown up with this man, she has seen how he could be, and then in a fracture of a second, she loses him. Melody is a very good story, and rating novel. I suggest this too all the people who has had lost their father not only by death by he actually living. I could say that Chester was a great father to Melody, a greater father than any other father I ever known, and it doesn't even matter that he was a character from a book because book like taht gives us the greatest lesson and morals we can learn from in our life time.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I have every read!!! Review: Ms. Andrews had to be the most creative writer I have ever read. She had a way of putting you in the characters place. Melody was a very sweet girl with a very shady past. With her hard life we could only imagine what she went through. But you also felt if you where right ther going through it with her. I have enjoyed many VC Andrews books and I will continue to read them.
Rating: Summary: this book you cannot miss. Review: Melody is about a 15 year old girl who struggles to find her real idenity. After her father dies she realizes that her mom wants to persue her modeling/acting career. Her mom takes her to live with people who she has never known before, but she also finds out that they shamed her father as soon as he married her mom. The only explaination she ever got for how they treated her dad was that he married an orphan. She doesn't realize that there is a big gap in her mom's life that she doens't know about. As soon as you read the book the picture begins to fill in.
Rating: Summary: Could not put it down! Review: A girl named Melody Logan, who loved her beloved father so much. Then an accident happened and her father was in it and was killed with other good coal workers. After her fathers death her mother was not able to take the responsibilities and tells Melody to stay with her Uncle, Aunt and her cousins, Cary, which his twin, Laura was killed recently, and May who is death. She finally gets to see her father's side of the family. When she stays with family, the family and the basement revealed things her mother and father never told her. She sleeps in Laura's room while she stays there; the only thing that comforts her is her fiddle. She has the troubles Laura used to have before her death.
Rating: Summary: I could not put Melody down it was a definite page-turner. Review: I think V.C. Andrews is a great author and she should continue her work. The book helped me appreciate and love my parents more and to always know it could always be worse.
Rating: Summary: So good I couldn't put it down. Review: Melody is a fantastic book. I was captivated from beginning to end. Melody is the kind of person you just want to hug and tell her that everything is gonna be o.k.
Rating: Summary: Typical of all V.C. Andrews books, but still a great book. Review: This series gets more and more involved than the last series of books by V.C. Andrews. I get so involved in reading these books I don't know where the time goes. This is yet another great series by V.C. Andrews. I've read every one of V.C. Andrews' books and I'm always looking for the next one to come out. Thanks V.C. for a relief from television!!!
