Rating: Summary: Should be required reading Review: A girl has dreams that link her to the ancient gods and godesses of Olympus. What does it all mean? Her father writes screenplays and is having difficulty with the ending of his current work. He gets the surprise ending he wants, and Pike delivers a very hard punch with a ending that should encourage some students to learn more about Greek mythology.
Rating: Summary: When I was younger this book thrilled me to death! Review: Although I am very partial to the Last Vampire Series, I have to comment on this tale. I must have read it three or four years ago, but I still remember how much it thrilled me. I think anyone with a sense of mystery and imagination will enjoy this story. This is one of my favorites!
Rating: Summary: THIRLLING Review: ALTHOUGH I HAVEN'T READ MUCH OF CHRISTOPHER PIKE'S BOOK, i DOTHINK HE'S A REALLY GOOD WRITER. THE FEW BOOKS I READ I ENJOYED ANDTHE IMMORTAL WAS ONE OF THE FEW BOOKS I READ. IT WAS SORT OF EASY TOGUESS WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN THE BOOK BUT I WAS UNPREPARED FOR THE ENDING. IT WAS ONE OF THOSES BOOKS THAT YOU END UP THINKING ABOUT LATER WHEN YOUR NOT EVEN READING IT AND THEN THE WHOLE STORY SORT OF COMES TOGETHER, I LOOK FORWARD INTO READING MORE OF CHRISTOPHER PIKE'S BOOK.
Rating: Summary: The Immortal - forever in my mind Review: Although I've read this book about 5-6 yrs. ago it still continues to live in my mind. Christopher Pike continues he's masterful work of story-telling in this novel about one of my favorite topics, Greek mythology (second only to Egyptian). The plot twists and characters are extremely ingenius and unique. Although this is not Pike's most noteworthy book it is still a must for any fan of his work.
Rating: Summary: Educational and Thrilling at the same time Review: Because this was the first Pike book I read, it reigns as a favorite. Because I am a fan of Greek mythology, this book was a learning experiance as well and entertaining. The final scene couldn't get any more thrilling. Delos was an excellant place to plot this book in, it just makes you want to go there now
Rating: Summary: If you like the exstream , here it is! Review: I am very proud of this book, and hope that this riveting novel, "TheImmortal,"will leave you spellbound
Rating: Summary: A good story with some history intertwined Review: I have to admit at first I didn't think it was going to be that good but I trust Pike with his writing since I have read quite a few of his books. So when I piked up the immortal it looked kind of strange but turned out to be great! It was a story around the greek gods mostly and you have to read it for yourself
Rating: Summary: Well written Review: I liked this book, mainly because I love mythology. I loved how Mr. Pike tied in modern day Greece to Greece in the time of the gods. And I'm glad that he showed Apollo as a god of justice. Josie made an interesting character, who finds out about her real identity.
Rating: Summary: First Pike book I read Review: I read this book years ago and it left an impression, so much so I remember it almost 10 years later. It was the first book I ever read by Christopher Pike and he became my favorite author at that time! I would recommend "The Immortal" to any young person who likes mythology (especially Greek). If you really like Christopher Pike books, I would recommend Anne Rice when you get older.
Rating: Summary: Great plot, great characters! Review: I read this book years ago, and I still remember it. I just got my own copy, and glad i did!. It is a great page turner, you won't be able to put it down! Pike is always famous for making his characters do the unexpected..you never who the real culprits are, so to speak. I also liked the greek mythology tie in, it was really creative. I always like how Pike's endings are written, but this book is one of the ones that really take the cake.
