Summary: Rain Again
Review: I too feel that this is a very good book. I have read all of Andrews book and love them all (except the "little" book series) I also feel that the plots of the books are starting to sound the same. i read Andrews because I Love the style of writing, but I am starting to see a simular pattern in the story lines. Please keep the writing the same but get a new plot.

Summary: If you got nothing else to do
Review: Once again V.C. Andrew's ghost writter comes out with another totally predictable novel. This time the girl is mixed but is still whiny wimpy and has no back bone. If you've read the Dawn books you know the drill. Poor girl moves in with rich people who are unhappy. Rich girl treats Rain bad. Everyone she loves dies blah blah blah. I also find insulting that every black person V.C. Andrews ever writes about lives in the gettho. What's up with that

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: VC Andrews is back! And this time, she's back to her novel series! This book will glue you to your seat the moment you pick it up. Although this IS like the Cutler family series in many ways, the book poses some major changes. Rain is actually in danger in her surroundings, which makes the book even more suspenseful. And, the greatest of all changes: the grandmother, that is percieved on the cover as dark and forboding (like the grandmother in Flowers in the Attic) is actually a decent person, that looks like she has somewhat of a caring heart. This was definately a plus for the plot, or the story would have seemed overly depressing. VC Andrews fans have had to wait a long time for this book, but I tell you, it's worth the wait.

Summary: a refreshing change from the miniseries, but . . .
Review: I have to agree with the majority of the reviews. This is a nice change of pace after the miniseries and "Melody". I did notice, however, the similarities between "Dawn" and "Rain". I hope there is a little more originality; that is I hope Rain will have a love interest besides the man she thought was her brother.

Very good plot, however. The supporting characters are very strong and serve more of a purpose than they have in the most recent books. I heartily recommend this book to any Andrews fan.

Summary: At Long Last, A Nice Grandmother!
Review: Rain was very good. It was nice that Rain had a kind grandmother. However, I didn't think that the romance between Roy and Rain fit. Or at least it should have been developed better. But maybe it'll get better in the next book. Very nice.

Summary: Another Awesome Book
Review: I bought this book two days ago and already I have devoured it. I have been reading this particular author's books since the age of thirteen when a friend bought me Flower's in the Attic for my birthday. I've bought every book since then. It has been six years and I am still attracted to her novels. This one was especially wonderfull! Although I didn't like the mini-series books, I am an avid reader and I recommend this book as well as all her other ones! ENJOY!=)

Summary: Rain is like me!
Review: I Love all of V.C. Andrews books and I collect them ALL! I really enjoyed reading Rain because this was the first book that I could relate to because Rain was black. Even though I could always visualize myself as one of Andrews characters, they rarely talked about blacks. Now of course "we" all do not live in the "ghetto" but it was nice to see nice things happen to another race. Hopefully, this will have the "ghostwriters" write about other races as well. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Summary: I wish it was not set in our time...
Review: I am so glad that V.C. Andrews got over the mini series thing she was doing for a while. I thought rain was a very suspenseful book and kept me interested. But, I wished that she would not set it in our time but, in the past like she had did so before.

Summary: Typical V.C. Andrews Novel
Review: I though this book was pretty good. I had trouble putting it down, however I have that problem with all of her novels. My only problem with this one was that the plots in her books are beginning to sound all the same. Young girl, starts out poor, and then through some family scandal she ends up in high class society.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This was a wonderful book. I couldn't put it down, read it all in 2 days! I have read all of V.C. Andrews books and this is just as good as any of them. I can't wait for the rest of the series.
