Rating: Summary: Wow, what an amazing book! Review: This book I read for a school project, wow! I've never read a book so unpredictable in my life! I didn't want it to end! I saw the movie like 4 years ago, and couldn't remember a thing either than a guy walking with a hook! I knew practically nothing about it, when I read this book! That's what made it amazing, knowing nothing about a book! Julie James(Jennifer Love Hewitt) is the only one at the beginning who fights the pact, and wants to report to the police after they hit the kid. Ray Bronson(Freddie Prince Jr.) was with Julie, but if there was a tie, he chose Barry's side. Barry(Ryan PHillipe) was driving the car and Helen Rivers(Sarah Michelle Gellar) was with the pact!! I was so shocked when I found out the killer! It's sneaked in! I'm going to watch the movie tomorrow night! One of the best books I've ever read, get this book! I would, after I read it, it's awesome!
Rating: Summary: Not Nearly As Good As The Movie!! Review: I read the book about a year ago and felt that it was not very suspenseful or entertaing. With the movie I could relate to the characters but not with them in the book. I thought it was a little lame that the stalker tried to kill the teens but was unsecessful. I also didn't like how he/she toyed with them. Were as the movie they toyed with the teens very well and scared the... out of them.
Rating: Summary: I Know What You Did Last Summer Review: I just finished reading the book I Know What You Did Last Summer by Lois Duncan. I would have to say this was a really great book. If you like spine-tingling suspense thrillers, this book is perfect for you. It's one of those books you can't put down. It starts out with four friends Julie, Ray, Barry, and Helen are hanging out together on their last summer before they go off to college. They go to a party and Barry has one two many drinks. Then he decides to drive home, he vision becomes impaired and doesn't see a person crossing the road and hits him with the car. They all rush and see what has gone wrong and then they realize that he is dead. They panic and don't know what to do. Then they decide that the only thing they can do is get rid of the body. They throw the body into the lake thinking that nothing would happen and that everything is taken care of. Little did they know their so-called "perfect plan" didn't work out the way they planned. Exactly one year later that night began to haunt them. One by one they all began getting threats and letters that all stated, "I know what you did last summer." They become very scared and worried and they don't know what to do. They can't go to the police or get help from their parents. They have to figure it out all on their own. Then all of a sudden people started getting hurt and others were dying. They all get together and try to piece together all clues that they have been receiving. As the begin trying to figure it all out, they realize that they had been going in the completely wrong direction. They try there best to stop the killer from attacking and protecting themselves. Soon they find out that it is inevitable to stop him. The ones that are still alive get together and try to fight him back, but killing him is harder than they expected. You should really read this book. It's a very twisted, broken down mystery that all comes together in the end. It gets better with the turn of every page. Don't pass this one up. It's worth it.
Rating: Summary: I Know What You Did Last Summer Review: Anyone who saw the movie, knows that it is very 'Scream'-like. What with the fisherman killer, who runs around killing people with a hook. Even two of the main characters were killed. But the book is way different. If you expect it to be somewhat the same as the movie, think again. I do, however, think it makes for a good read. But I don't even know why they put the cover of the movie on it, they are so different!
Rating: Summary: I know what you did last summer Review: This is a really awesome book. It is full of suspense, and excitement! I think that this book was awesome and I told all of my friends to read it. There is also a really good movie that is based on the book. It is called "I know what you did last summer" and it stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze jr. (really cute) and Ryan Phillippe (also really cute). The movie is really good, too but it is also scary. I can't wait to read the Sequel "I still know what you did last summer"
Rating: Summary: Revenge Review: A Review by Meghan One night, while coming home from partying, Barry hit a young boy riding a bicycle. Also in the car were Julie, Ray, and Helen. They all panicked and then called the police anonymously. They made a pact never to tell anyone about the accident. It's been a year now and someone's out for revenge. They all get some sort of sign that someone else knows about it, but who? No one ever told anyone else.I like how this book keeps you in suspense. The story leads up to the climax very well with everyone getting notes or phone calls. The author doesn't give anything away about the person sending the notes' is, until he reveals himself. You can easily follow when the author switches from one point of view to another. The conflict of someone out to get you seems real because you can kind of imagine someone doing that. The characters Lois Duncan has brought "alive" seem very realistic (especially if you've seen the movie). They were all really believable. I kind of wish the book would extend so you could see what happens after everything has happened. I would recommend this book to people if you like suspense and mystery. I think this is a really good book. It's easy to follow the book.
Rating: Summary: I know what you did last summer Review: The book was every good. I liked it a lot. The settings were very different like the car when they hit the little boy,the Gregg's house, and the dinner. There were a lot of conflicts in the book like Ray vs. Collie. The forshadowing was when someone was going to get killed. I would rate the book a 10 because if you like being scared you will like this book.
Rating: Summary: I Know What You Did Last Summer Review: Last summer four terrified friends named Barry, Helen, Julie, and Ray make a desperate pact to conceal a shocking secret.Unfortunately now someone has found out about their secret and is out to kill them. They thought he was dead until they find out that death is back again. I think that this is the perfect book for somebody under thirteen or older to read.
Rating: Summary: Totally Different Review: Ok, this movie had a whole different plot than the book. In the book they kept driving and they were at a party and they were a little high and they hit a small boy on a bike. The ending was a little predictable, but overall a fair book.
Rating: Summary: I Know Review: Me, being a very big fan of Lois Duncan well, I was very dissapointed in the book. I saw the movie first and I guess that spoiled it. In my opinion, the movie was a lot better. The book wasn't very exciting and after seeing the movie it was dry with excitment and dull.
