Rating: Summary: An Amazing Thriller Review: The amazing thriller, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" by Lois Duncan is a great book for teenagers. This mystery book is action packed with events that will surprise you. Written in 1973, this book portrays the life of four teenagers, Ray, Barry, Helen, and Julie, who one night when driving home from a party, unexpectedly hit a young boy on the road. Thinking they could get a way with it, they called the ambulance, but did not tell them their name. Now, a year later, someone is stalking them; someone knows what they did last summer. The characters are portrayed very nicely within the story. Some of the characters may seem a certain way in the beginning of the story, but by the end of the story, the character may turn a totally different direction. It takes place within many places in the town. The most remarkable things happen at the University campus or at Four Seasons Apartments. Watch these four high-school kids struggle through the events that take place. Lois Duncan's writing style really adds to the book. She describes the scenery and the characters as if you are there too. When reading this book, I can picture the characters and exactly what they are doing. While reading this book, I was flipping the pages with anticipation as to what was going to happen next, and I think you will too. Many of you may have seen the movie, but do not be fooled, the book is nothing like the movie. Now you know what they did last summer. Are you strong enough to read the book?

ALthough this was not the first Lois DUncan book I had read and its by no means my fav. it was very cool. I think that anyone who likes a good thrill and a good story should read this.
Rating: Summary: I know what you did last summer...not as good as the movie.. Review: This book was not as good as the movie, but it still was a great book. It was written in the 1970s, though. If you liked this book, check out Lois Duncan's other books!! I love her books.

Rating: Summary: I know what you did last summer Review: 4 kids are driving home from a party one night after they had been drinking. Suddenly a kid riding his bicycle rides out right in front of the car. The teenagers in the car hit him and keep on driving. The teenagers go to a phone booth up ahead about two miles. They call the police and tell them that they hit a kid, the thing is they do not tell the police there name. They all make a pact to not tell the police what happend and they just drive off into the night. The kids do many things to make the accident very vague. They spray paint the car to make sure that if someone saw them that night in the car they wouldnt be noticed today. After a year the kids start to get letters in the mail that say things like "I know what you did last summer." One of the teenagers got a photo of a boy lieing in the middle of the road next to his bicycle. More and more things have been happening to these kids and they are trying to find out who is doing it. I thought this was a really good action book. Something is always happening in this book. This book never really has any boring parts to it. This is a really good book for people to read and i think that the author did a really good job on it.
Rating: Summary: A Suspense Filled Wonder Review: This is a tragic story of four friends who are involved in a freak accident, and make some wrong decisions. During a drive home on a dark night a little boy riding a bike is hit and killed. Julie, the main character, along with her three friends are terrified, and leave the scene. The four friends make a pact and go their seperate ways. All seems to be ok, until a stranger who knows about the accident starts stalking them. This is a wonderfully written novel, and one that eventually became a movie by the same name. The movie doesn't even come close to doing this novel justice. Lois Duncan has out done herself. Her dicription is spectacullar, and the web of suspense she weaves is a step above. I enjoyed this novel, and would reccomend it to all readers. You won't be dissapointed.
Rating: Summary: Summer Revenge Review: This book had such a suspenseful twist that the last five chapters kept you holding on for breath. Although the books didn't resemble the movie at all, I enjoyed the book much better for no one died, and the killer is involved in the story. There is a killer though, and someone wants revenge for the horrible crime that they committed. In the book, instead of hitting a fisherman on the road, they ran over a little boy on his bicycle, and they didn't go back to make their apologies, instead they bury past and never mention it to anyone, and this mistake may cause them the biggest price of a lifetime.
Rating: Summary: The best scary Lois Duncan book i have ever read!!!! Review: The movie was not as good as the book!! I read this book in about 7hrs!!! I could not put it down for a second. Personally I think Lois Duncan is a great writer I have read most of her books and this is my most favorite!
Rating: Summary: Not A Bad Book!! Review: This book is a very good book. But if you are going to read it JUST because of the movie, you might be disapointed because some things are different. The plot is almost the same: four drunk teenagers accidently kill a boy on his bycicle. They decide to make a pact: No one will ever know what they did. So they don't see each other anymore until someone sends to one of the teens, a note saying: I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER. They become desparate and start investigating who is blackmailing them. The story has a great suspense climax and the end is very good. Still, in this book there are no deaths and I think that would of made me give this book five stars.
