Rating: Summary: Couldv'e been better... Review: Although I truely enjoyed the book, I felt that a little more could have been done to the "hidden past" parts. Melody finds out who her father is, that's great, but then all the talk of "looking in the basement" for the dark truth kinda left me a little put out. It wasn't explained well (I actually had to read the last chapter twice) and really didn't have any real relivence to the future of the story (for those of you who haven't read it, I won't spoil it for you by explaining further...). Something good could have been thrown in there about almost ANYTHING else and made it more entertaining. I sure do miss the real V.C. Andrews. Maybe they ought to get a new ghostwritter...

Rating: Summary: Tired Fiction Review: Another talented young woman, another close relationship with a male relative who happens to be a peer and another vindictive old lady named Olivia. What is with this author and Olivia? This is just more of the same tired fare. Thumbs down.
Rating: Summary: Not bad, considering the author's been dead for years. Review: As far as "V.C. Andrews" or rather, her ghostwriter's books are concerned, this one was pretty good. Unfortunately, if you've read any V.C. Andrews series, you've read them all. She seems to have some kind of fixation on incest that I really don't understand, it must have something to do with her childhood, not that I'm particularly interested in the details. So if you're in the mood for light reading and don't have a problem with incest or corny romances, then this book should suit you fine. Otherwise choose between a semi-pornographic "romance" novel or a book with an actual interesting plot, and don't waste your time straddling fences.

Rating: Summary: Captivating Review: For those of you out there who say that all of V.C. Andrew's books are the same.... duh! Haven't you realized by now that she writes about insest?! Anyway, I like her books very much and I am looking forward for many more series to read. I just wish that they would come out sooner! I have read everyone of her books except for "Music in the Night". I can't wait for the new series to come out. And why are the books getting so expensive? Can't they stay at an affordable price? Well, that's all for now. Keep on writing!

Rating: Summary: Wonderful book !!! Review: I am a and always was a great fan of V.C. Andrews. I have been deeply touched and inspired by all of her series that I even named my thrid son after two of the characters in the Flower's In The Attic Series. His name is Christopher Joel. I religiously and with great anticipation wait for upcoming novels. I just finished reading this book, The Unfinished Symphony. I felt a great amount sadness as I closed the book. Sadness in the sense that the book ended. It was a fascinating and inspiring book. I looked forward to opening the book everyday and reading more about Melody's life. The book ended and I felt Melody actually leave. V.C. Andrews' books books always caused an impact like that. I can not wait to read her upcoming novels. She has a special way of taking me into her books and experience what the characters feel. She is truly a legend. Keep up the wonderful work of creating those wonderful novels.
Rating: Summary: Too Bad We Have To Read The Book To Get To The Ending! Review: I did some serious trudging through this book because I like to finish what I start. But I was just bored out of my mind. Kenneth is awfully annoying, as is Melody. I lost sympathy for the main character pretty early on in the series. With all the stupid things she did in the third installment, I kept wishing someone would give her a kick in the behind. She just does one idiotic thing after another. She does find out some shocking secret at the end, though, that kind of held my interest, although I already knew what it was (from spoilers on other sites and the end of Music in the Night). However, I found Melody to be a hypocrite. She had no right to be as angry at Olivia as she was, considering that she allowed a similar farce to continue involving the remains of her mother's body (read the book to find out what I mean). As for Cary, I didn't care much for him either. I couldn't honestly care less about what happens in Melody and his future. The graduation speech at the end was so dumb. And cliche. How about ending a book with something other than a few forced words of wisdom. And also, Melody is the last person I would expect to have become wise. She never seemed to learn her lessons before. Unfulfilling Symphony. That pretty much sums it up. Uh, yeah.
