Summary: I think V.C. Andrews wrote better books when she was alive.
Review: The old V.C. Andrews books (My Sweet Audrina,Casteel Series, and the Flowers in the Atti c series) were the best ones. I didn't like it how Olivia was so cruel to Samual. She continued to be rude to him. I couldn't see how she could have such a cold heart. Sometimes she could be very nice and then other times she could snap. I excpected more from v.c. Andrews. I still liked some parts of the book, but most was pretty dull.

Summary: Olivia not justified
Review: Usually these books in the series try to justify the so called 'bad' person in previous stories. Most of the time I end up understanding the 'evil' characters bitterness. But not in this case. Olivia was bitter and cold in the beginning. And she stayed that way from begining to end. I give her no reason for doing the wicked things in her later life. What a WITCH! I would've rather have seen a book about Haille.

Summary: Good book
Review: It was a good book better than the last one. I also enjoyed Sherry A. Mauro's new book, EVEN ANGELS FALL. The heroine Sabrina Ayers was a wonderful character which reminded me of Cathy. It was a romantic, dark, haunting tale with a shocking family secret to uncover! I highly recommend this book to any VCA fans!

Summary: Too late in coming and not exciting when it got here.
Review: It is already hard enough to wait through four novels before you get to find out what happened in the very begining but to have to wait through a whole other series is pathetic. I completely forgot about the Logan series and it wasn't until I was already reading the book that I realized that this one was a follow up. It was really hard to enjoy because as time goes on and you've read more series containing more characters you forget all of the details you need to know to understand what is going on in this book. You can imagine the surprise when after thinking that this was a new series that it turned out to be end of an old series. I wouldn't recommend releasing a new series then releasing an end to an old one. Like most people who have read the new ghost written VC Andrews novels I think they all have the same basic plot with different character names and wording. Please try something different or let Ms. Andrews rest in peace.

Summary: How very NOT V. C. Andrews
Review: Well, I think with this book, I will take V. C. Andrews off my books-to-buy list. I don't even know if I'll bother picking up another one, but if I do, it will be just to skim it (I've barely read any of the last few anyway).

This is NOT V. C. Andrews. Olivia Logan did not have such a horrible life; not the best, but not as bad as past Andrew's characters. Anything of interest (such as the the still born baby) only got a few pages of text. Where did the horror go? Remember children locked away in an attic or a family torn apart when a father sold his children? Now those are horrible lives which no one would want to live. That's what V. C. Andrews used to be, right up until this series and the Orphans series. I only hope that the people involved in producing these *V. C. Andrews* books will let her rest in peace.

Summary: Once I start reading them I can't put them down.
Review: I enjoy all of of the mini series books that are out. One thing I don't understand is why are books written then the fourth book will tell how it all began. Why not do that first? Also in the Logan series Olivia is written last and it should be first then there should be a continuation book after Olivia then go to Melody, Heart Song, Unfinished Symphony, Music in The Night. I know Im not a book writer but I just don't understand why the books are written out of order like that. Can you explain it to me? Also is there another book coming out to complete the Logan Series after Olivia. I hope so because olivia kind of leaves you hanging because you know there's more to lead up to the book Melody. Like how Halle Married Olivia's son and had Melody etc. I know you're busy but Id appreciate it if you could respond to me.

Thank you

Summary: good book
Review: It was a good book with an interesting storyline. It reminded me of a new author I've been reading Sherry A. Mauro. Her novel, EVEN ANGELS FALL is a great book and this author's writing style is close to VC Andrews. I loved it!

Summary: Mail a copy to your jealous sister....
Review: This book is a perfect example of what happens when two sisters are close in age and one is perceived as prettier and/or more fun than the other. The plain or boring one (Olivia) turns into a control freak bent on sabotaging any happiness her sister Belinda has purely out of envy. Olivia said herself "People don't have to like me, but they will respect me." Why would you want to be someone who people feared? I cannot stand people like that and if Belinda had any sense, she would have left that dysfunctional jealous sister alone and made her see just how her controlling ways drove people off. I have a tiny bit of sympathy for Olivia when she describes how Nelson's love, if directed at her, could have softened her, but then you read about her micromanaging everything including sex with her husband and it just makes me want to punch her in the face! I have read Andrews' books for twenty years and I recommend reading this one before you start Melody...otherwise you will be going back to reread parts and see how Olivia interacts with Nelson and Samuel when they are older.

Summary: Olivia, a woman with snake venom in her veins
Review: After reading what seems to be a gazillion books on the innocent princess in the tower type heroine (Dawn, Annie, Ruby,Melody, etc.) from V.C. Andrews it was refreshing to have a heroine who was sharp, if not cruel and cynical.
That's all the praise you'll be able to pry from me for this book. Though the change of character was something new I still couldn't like this book and I especially found it hard to sympathize with a character that will later on do so many horrible things. I suppose this book was supposed to show us how Oliva Logan became so cold and evil, what with getting her heart broken by what's his face but I think that no matter what had happened, what environment she had grown up in she would have grown up the same. With snake venom in her veins rather then blood what else could we expect? I was so sick of her spitting negativity left and right that I was glad when the book ended. Later thankfully, V.C. Andrews ceates a heroine that is both smart and kind, Willow
