Rating: Summary: A exciting book about a teenage prank gone bad! Review: This book was a good book, it was slow at the begining, but it gets good about half way through. Caroline B Cooney did a good job a portraying a teenagers emotions in that situation. She missed alittle when it comes to the perants, but all in all it was a good book. I highly recamend this book for teenagers
Rating: Summary: Tragedy yet reality Review: I'de have to say...WOW! This book was great. It did have a slow start but as the story went along, I went along with it. As a beginning driver, it really clarified the dangers of being on the road and all the stupid stunts that people do and what to look out for. It was just so great that this book was so realistic and that it relates to teenagers' lives in many ways. I would reccomend this book to anyone learning to drive or even thinking about doing a stupid stunt like taking away a stop sign or any road sign...even though you might not be hurt in an accident, it will hurt you worse to know that you caused it.
Rating: Summary: Suspensful and true to family life today. Review: "Driver's Ed" is an outstanding book. I wanted to read it from start to finish. It was very hard to put down. She writes very true to life. Everything from relationships to friendships. To interacting with your family and teachers. It really hits home. Remy and Morgan's actions show that teenagers really aren't bad people; we just don't always think ahead. I recommend this book to any teen. Just make sure you have time to read it from front to back, because it is very hard to put down. I gave it four stars.
Rating: Summary: Very good!!! Review: This book I thought was very well written, and easy to understand. It is as a real life deal, with teenagers, Remy and Morgan who are attracted to each other and trying to "fit it", by stealing a stop sign, without realizing the great damage it could and did cause. One second of a wrong decision can change your life forever, and it makes me think before I act.
Rating: Summary: This is a Good book for teens to read Review: I thought that all together this was a good book. The begininnig started a little slow but it quickley got better. I thought it was a good idea to show how somethings seem like a little thing, but can be a big deal. I also like how they showed how each family reacts to things. Driver's Ed is a good book for teens to read and having a little romance in it just adds a little extra excitement into the book. I think I should also add that Coach Di is really cool. I would like to thank him for the opportunity to read this book for a project, and for teaching us so much.
Rating: Summary: It was at a lower reading level then I am at. Review: This book was average. If it is meant for people who are in Driver's Ed now then it should be more approiate for our reading level. When I read this book in sixth grade it was good, now it is boring. If Ms. Cooney is going to quote the Bible then she should do it in context. I thought this book was average and would not suggest it to my friends.
Rating: Summary: Great language Review: This is the kind of book I like to read. I love the language the author uses. The language helps me to see the pictures in my head. I can really visualize what's going on. I wish there were more books like this one.
Rating: Summary: Once the action started, I couldn't put it down! Review: When Remy and Morgan went joyriding one night with a friend, they stole a stop sign from an intersection. That "bright" idea resulted in the death a young mother. Then they have to face the family of the victim and deal with the fact that they killed someone just because they did something they'll regret for the rest of their lives. It's amazing how one night can change your whole life forever. All in all, this was a pretty good book from start to finish! I would recommend this book to anyone who knows what it's like to do things that you'll regret later on!
Rating: Summary: This book has an interesting plot but is entirely to short. Review: Caroline B. Cooney does an excellent job of showing how a teenager feels and acts. She has very fine details and and interesting twist by putting the romance in the midst of this chaos. The book shows one how a simple prank can end in disaster. Remy and her hubby did not think about the consequences and look what happened a person was killed. This book shows the attitude of the world. The parents where shock at this horrific event but the fathers accepted it as a simple teenage screw up. The mothers however overreacted and did the worst thing possible by shunning their kids.
Rating: Summary: I thought the book was really slow. Review: It took them forever to tell, and then when they did they didn't even get what they deserved. I also didn't like the way that things were happening in class or while driving and the teacher never noticed, until a life-threatening experience happened. This book did however make me realize that no matter how sorry you are you can't change the past. You should always think before you act.
