Summary: Driver's Ed
Review: So far what I have read of this book, I like a lot, and it seems really good. It's a book from a high schooler's perspective, and it's really intersting.

Summary: The Bad Book
Review: A terrible story and ridiculous plot. It was written from a feminists perspective, and had no realistic themes.

Summary: Goodness, another one.
Review: Hi there all, I read this book, and I do think that it is a great book, but, all in all, it could be better, It has the same plot esencialy as all of the other caroline B cooney books, There are two people who like eachother, they get together, and something breaks them up. Al in all, could have been a good romance/action thing if only she hadn't droped the romance part.

Summary: A Disappointing Book By a Good Author
Review: As soon as I saw this book in the book store, I grabbed it. Caroline B. Cooney usually writes exciting, suspenseful books that you are hard-pressed to put down. However, I felt this book was written simply as a money-maker. After quickly skimming through it, I saw that it was a piece of fluff with none of the suspense or good writing that I expect from Caroline Cooney. The characters were shallow, unrealistic, and unlikable, and you never really found out much about what they were like. I hope that Caroline will return to her former writing style in her future books. This book was a prime candidate for a garage sale.

Summary: STEER CLEAR OF THIS BOOK!
Review: This is a disappointing story about irresponsibity with a fatal turn. Remy is a spoiled, stupid girl and Morgan certainly isn't any prize either. They are a pair of selfish birds of a feather. The story was upsetting and the characters left you cold. I found the part about stupid Remy's brother not even being named upsetting. This book shows a bad side of people -- the kind who have no regard for human life. Steer clear of this book.

Summary: DRIVE REMY AND MORGAN CLEAR OUT OF TOWN!
Review: This book is a very disturbing story about sheer irresponsibility and its dire consequences. The victims and families of the perpetrators are the only sympathetic characters. I detested Remy and found her to be an overly dramatic, irresponsible and self centered character. I didn't like her mother and felt those two deserved each other. I also was quite perturbed about Remy's brother having never been named. That really bothered me. That is another example of a lack of regard for human life, human identity and sheer irresponsibility. Remy and her foolish mother were two dodo birds of a feather that flew together. This is Cooney's worst book after a string of successess. I usually like Caroline Cooney works, but this one is one to drive past. Detour and read another one of Caroline Cooney's books instead and leave this one in the dead end it belongs in!

Summary: Driver's Ed
Review: I just finished reading Driver's Ed. It's the third book that I have read by Caroline B. Cooney. At first it was a little boring and really helped me get to sleep but by Chapter 4 I didn't want to put it down. It gave me a really neat perspective on driving and that it's not all fun and games. This book kept me reading til 1:00 in the morning every night I said I'd stop at the end of the chapter and I never did. I think that anybody that is even considering getting a driver's liscese anytime soon should read this book.

"Driver's Ed... the only life and death course in school"

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Teens' Pastime = Nightmare
Review: Everyone can't wait until they are able to take driver's ed in school. Sometimes stealing road signs seems like our only connection to our future careers in driving. Then we think the class is a bore, and we just cannot wait until that license is in our hands. Then of course, Mom & Dad will be buying us that brand new car. Everything will be peachy. Not so in this book. It is a reflection of true cases where teens have stolen road signs and death has resulted. And as with those present day dramas, peer pressure plays a big role in Cooney's story. Once the accident occurs, the teens are forced to live with guilt and uncertainty of their futures. Ultimately, do they admit to their involvement and live with this being public knowledge? Or, do they keep the secret amongst themselves and take the guilt with them to their graves? Which is worse? The reader shares the characters' anger and fear as the suspense grows. A great read for students on the verge of desiring a driver's license.
