Rating: Summary: A Quite Chilling Story... Review: This is a great Lois Duncan book. This was one of the first that I read of her's. When Kit comes to the school the first word that comes to her when she arrives is "Evil". You don't start connecting the dots until the middle of the book. Although I think that this book isn't very good at keeping secrets. Once the hints start coming you pretty much will know the big revelation and what all the girl's have in common to enter this "Special" school. The characters were touched upon pretty well. I think Jules wasn't absolutely necessary and that it would have been nicer if someone like Madame Duret was the Piano teacher instead. The story about the history of the house was a little drawling and could have been shortened without hurting the plot. The reason this book is enthralling is it's one of the most individual plot's and the end is pretty chilling to the soul.
Rating: Summary: WOW! One word... SCARY!... Review: At first I thought that past artists going around controlling 4 teen girls was the stupidest thing I had EVER heard of. Than I read the book. It scared the [heck] out of me. I didn't sleep without my light on for days. It's hard to find horror stories that aren't corny. This is one of the very few I LOVED AND WOULD RECCOMOEND TO ANY ONE!

Rating: Summary: Lois Duncan Does It Again. Review: I'll start off by saying I am a huge Lois Duncan fan. I read Summer of Fear and I Know What You Did Last Summer. I loved both of them. This novel blew me away; I could not put the book down at all. When Kit Gordy, a teenage girl, gets accepted to an exclusive, private, all-girls school little does she know what she's getting into. Her parents signed her up because they are honey-mooning all around Europe. Kit gets there and immediately suspects something is "evil". When Kit arrives she finds that she has only three roommates. This confuses her greatly. Throughout the course of the book Lois Duncan foreshadows dark happenings. Sooner or later it happens. All four students begin having abnormal dreams. Not dreams with little bunnies and rainbows, dreams of terror. I'll let you read the book to find out the mystery of Blackwood School For Girls. If you get the chance read this book and I promise you will like it. Lois Duncan is a literary genius in my point of view. She brings everything into a teen's perspective...except I'm not a girl, not that it matters. I enjoyed it greatly and I hope you do to.

Rating: Summary: AWESOME Review: I thought that Down a Dark Hall was a very riveting book and has so much description. It actually made you feel as though you were in the characters' shoes. Also there were some great ideas in this novel. The author must of worked hard to come up with these ideas. Although I found some parts funny or scary and even just plain boring, it was awesome. I totally recommend this book to people who like mysteries and books that keep you on your feet guessing. Down a Dark Hall was a total page turner.
