Summary: Amityville Horror is an outstanding book!!!!
Review: The Amityville Horror By Jay Anson is the most realistic book I have ever read! It gives examples of real life problems and what would and could really happen. I reccomend this book to every one and if you have read it already read it again!!! It is wonderful and so real that if you really get into it you can almost feel some of the things happening!!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Very good fiction
Review: Pretty well written; house seems very spooky. Too bad it was touted as "non-fiction".

Summary: Excellent horror! I couldn't put it down!
Review: So I finally read the Amityville Horror for the first time. I heard the story before on one of those tv shows about the paranormal, but I soon forgot about it. I never saw the movie but the image of the house with the "eye-like" windows stayed in my mind. Even though I heard that the story is a hoax, not a true story as it says on the cover (sorry to disappoint those who didn't know), I still found the book frightening and very interesting.

Summary: Yah Baby!
Review: This is a scary book and I will not read a book unless it is a true story. The part that still scares me the most after two years that i've read the book is the part about the two red pig eyes and the weird cavity in the basement. Great!

Summary: One excellent and suspencefull book
Review: This book was so detailed and scary that I could not read it at night by myself. The book was full of suspence and the unexpected is to be expected from this book. It was a wonderful book. Don't read this book alone!!!

Summary: Horror?
Review: This is a book about a very strange haunting. I enjoyed the content of the book, but it is not scary. I also felt that the style of writing was not as good as I would have hoped. Though nicely done, combining fact in a fictional style just doesn't work. I would have gone with one or the other.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very good! Extremely spooky!
Review: For a book as short as this one (approximately 230 pages, if that.)it manages to convey more suspense and chills than do other writers in, say, 700-800 pages. Mr. Anson is an experienced hand at this kind of subject, and his writing style held me captive. Hard to believe it is a non-fiction book...
