Rating: Summary: Scary as Hell Review: I read this book in seventh grade and didn't sleep in my room for about 9 months afterwards (attic). When I finally made the leap I couldn't sleep with my curtains open or my feet hanging out of the end of my blanket (those who have read the book know why). Just a very scary and awesome novel that stirs your soul.
Rating: Summary: One of the Scariest Books Ever Review: I have read dozens of horror books, and none of them scared me. Then I read "The Amityville Horror", which scared the living daylights out of me! It scares me even if I just think about it too much. If you don't like being terrified, don't read "The Amityville Horror" (don't bother with the movie).
Rating: Summary: This was a horrorfying experience. Review: This is my favorite horror novel. George and Cathy Lutz move into a beautiful Amityville house where a murder took place. All of a sudden the Lutz family are on their knees trys to get away from evil sprits that possess the house. The Lutz family searches help from a news station and a church once gotten out of the house.
Rating: Summary: The Amityvlle Horror Review: The Amityville Horror is a genuinely erie piece. It is reasonably well written and often awakens the icy fingers of fear along the spine of the open-minded. Even it if was a hoaxe in reality, the story, as told by Jay Anson, is disturbingly believable and enjoyable for any fan of supernatural horror, fiction or nonfiction. Read it with an open mind and a dimly lit room.........Get out!
Rating: Summary: the scariest book ever Review: The Amityville Horror was a really good, scary book. In this book, George and Cathy Lutz and their 3 kids move into a haunted house in Amityville. It was haunted even when the Defeo's lived there. They were the people who lived in the house before the Lutz's. Ronald Defeo murdered his family in that house one night. He said voices were telling him to do it. The Lutz's bought the house they only stayed for 28 days. A lot of weird things happened to them during the time they stayed there. If you want to know what happens to them you should read this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes scary books.
Rating: Summary: A creepy hoax Review: At this point the book has been proven a hoax, but it was fun to suspend my disbelief for a while and pretend that it was true.
Rating: Summary: Amityville Horror Review: I thought this book was a real page turner. Once I started reading it I couldn't stop till I was done. If you like a good scare this is a great book for you. I had second thoughts about turning off the lights as I went to bed. The author does a good job telling the story of the Lutz's and their new home.
Rating: Summary: "Our name is legion for we are many" Review: A large portion of this relatively short book is dedicated to establishing credability to the Author's claim that this is a work of non-fiction. While giving parts of the book a documentary feel, it also gives the book a tighter grasp on the reader who believes the author's claim. I would recommend this piece, but I would have enjoyed it more had it been a little longer to allow for more exploration of secondary characters.
Rating: Summary: THE SCARIEST BOOK I'VE EVER READ!!!! Review: I WAS PARANOID FOR A MONTH AFTER READING THIS BOOK.ITS AMAZING THAT THIS IS AN ACTUAL TRUE STORY!
Rating: Summary: True Horror... Review: This book is the best horror book I've ever read... It will scare you from head to toe... I was scared when it talked about "Jodie" and the hooded being at the top of the stairs... The movie is scary as well, but the book is more spellbinding and completely scary... To think and know that the Lutzes' story is true, that's just real horror...
