Summary: Dark Corner
Review: Dark Corner was cool and good book. It's not one of my favs from Brandon Massey, that would be Thunderland of course. But Dark Corner did have good suspensful spots in the book. I enjoyed reading about how they helped the town, and how everybody who use to be there friend turned into Vampires, the book was kinda creepy in some parts, but overall it was good read and gets more interesting at Chapter Fright Night, so Brandon Massey once again still did good, I can't wait to read more of his collection!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Book!
Review: The book kept me entranced the entire time. Though the plot was siimilar to most vampire plots, the book moved because of the action and a few twists. The characters came alive for the me and the interaction between the characters is what made the book so great. I'm not selling this one. I'm keeping it to read in a few years or save for my grandaughter who is ten now.

Thanks Brandon

Summary: The most predictable book I have ever read-NOT EVEN!!
Review: I've never written a book review, read plenty. I had thought about posting a rewiew after just finishing Mr. Massey's Dark Corner. I checking out rewiews for some other books & was just wondering what others had thought about Dark Corner. Once I read the review saying the charcters were unbelievable I just had to post a review. The book was just wonderful with people in it who you grew to care about and believe in put in scary situations. It was fast paced, scary, from a AA point of view, very different and I loved it. We now have it for a future bookclub read. I borrowed it from a friend and then bought it. Predictable? How so? Unbelievable? I don't believe I and the other 36 reviewers read the same book he did. None the less, Great Read, believe the hype, 5 star book. I'm looking forward to getting his other book Thunderland. Under stress & strain, you life hanging in the balance as in "Dark Corner" people don't act like normal because guess what? Nothing is.

Summary: Can you say PREDICTABLE?
Review: The most predictable book I have ever read, which is not always bad if the book is well written with good character depth. However, Massey accomplishes neither. Some of the characters actions are very unbelievable. The main heros after a night from hell being chased by vampires and seeing most of their friends die or become vampires themselves manage to find a secluded cabin and SLEEP. The female character is interested in (...)the main character after this horrid night... Massey can endow the vampires with what ever imaginary behavior he wishes, but it would be nice to see people behave like, well, people...

Summary: You'll be up all night
Review: This thriller is one you will read with the lights on. Good Vampires, Evil Vampires, Killer Hounds, Psychics, Vampire Hunters and more. Once you start reading you will not be able to put the book down. You will find yourself checking under the bed or taking one last look out your window before going to bed at night.

This is an OUTSTANDING piece of work by Brandon Massey. I felt as if I were there in that small town in Mississippi running for my life along with the other residents. King and Koontz better make room for this talented author.

Summary: Massey Brings Mystery to Mississippi
Review: Speaking as someone who has not read a great deal of supernatural novels, I was completely entralled by the DARK CORNER. Massey weaved together a perfect blend of relationships, pride, vengeance, and loyalty and created characters that will MAKE you want to discuss them. David and Kyle's quest for the truth they thought they needed mirrored so many of the feelings I have had about wanting to understand the father I never got a chance to know. I think the words of Franklin, one of the most pivotal characters sums it up best: "You do not need to understand your father to be complete."

Major kudos to the genius of Brandon Massey. I look forward to more.

Summary: Excellent Work!!
Review: I just LOVED this book. I could not put it down. I read at work on my lunch hour, after work, and every spare time I could find. Not since I read Tananarive Due, My Soul to Keep, have I enjoyed a horror book so. I'm running out to purchase Massey's first book Thunderland. In the mix of all of the suspense, I liked the underling message of the importance of father and son relationships and a woman sticking by her man through whatever. It was also funny seeing those people partying like its 1999 after the meeting and being informed of their town being invaded by vampires. I guess it was kind of like the people laughing at Noah while he was building the ark and saw (too late I might add)that he was right.

Summary: Great vampire horror.
Review: One hundred and sixty-eight years ago there was a great battle in Mississippi. A small group of men fought the undead. The leader of the humans was William Hunter. The leader of the vampires was Diallo. In the end, Diallo was entombed within a cave. There, he slept.

David Hunter never really knew his father, Richard, who had been a famous author. But when Richard had a boating accident in the Gulf of Mexico, David inherited everything. In hope of learning about his father, and himself, David moved from his Atlanta residence to the home where his father had dwelled in Mason's Corner, Mississippi. It was not long before David learned that he would be called upon to fulfill his responsibility to the family and continue "The Hunters' Legacy."

Within a few days of David's arrival in Mason's Corner, another newcomer arrived and moved into a house on the hill. This dark man seemed to easily settle into Jubilee, the old mansion that was rumored to be haunted. Not long afterward, people began to disappear and dogs became vicious and attacked.

Diallo had been wakened by his son and wanted revenge.

***** Fans of Dean Koontz will love this talented author. Brandon Massey takes his readers to a new height of terror, where vampires are even worse than we once imagined. The author adds in a few sub-plots to keep things moving in several directions at once, such as David's girlfriend having a stalker.

Here is an author to keep your eye on. I foresee many awards in Brandon Massey's future! Highly recommended reading! *****
