Summary: GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: THE LIVING BLOOD by Tananarive Due kept me interested all the way through. There was not a boring sentence in the entire book. The characters were real and interesting. The detail was just right, not too much, just enough. Ms. Due had a wonderful intriguing story to tell and she did a wonderful job. When I read the last page I only hoped there was more. I immediately went to Amazon.com to order her other books, which I look forward to reading. Her imagination and "faith in God" was inspiring. Even though the events about the immortals was fiction I love the idea of the peacefulness that the characters felt when they went to see Khaldun. I love the idea of Jesus' Blood being in our veins, (which it really is!) and the goodness Fana's family did with it. This book is out-of-this-world good!!!!! ...

Summary: A Must Read
Review: I really enjoyed this book. This had ideas, especially about the underground colony I found fasinating. My only complaint was while she seemed to want to deal with the myth of religion/christianity she only mentioned it briefly.

I was not aware that this was the second book in a series. I wish I had read the other one first.

Keep up the good work/writing!

Summary: GET THIS BOOK!
Review: This book was excellent it's a page turner right from the start! I ended up having to force myself to put it down so I could go to bed. You have to read My Soul to Keep 1st in order to get a real feel for Living Blood. This is one great author I'm going to read all of her books now!

Summary: Excellent Sequel
Review: Tananarive Due's "The Living Blood" is even better than it's predecessor "My Soul to Keep". She has taken more characters and skillfully woven their stories into a fantastic tale of supernatural adventure. She moves across settings- from Florida to Botswana to Ethiopia and back again with ease in telling her story. Her descriptions of her characters dreams and feelings are as colorful as the actual events she portrays. Last but not least, the ending is satisfying. David's character is redeemed and all the likeable charcters end up together in fellowship.

Summary: New Queen of Science Fiction / Fantasy
Review: Tananarive Due with MY SOUL TO KEEP and now THE LIVING BLOOD has won the title of Science Fiction/ Fantasy in my opinion.Never since reading Ann Rice's INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE have I been so captivated with a novel. The cover of THE LIVING BLOOD caught my eye and made me want to look inside after reading what the book was about I knew I wanted to read it.The characters and the story itself felt so real I forgot who I was and where I was! When I wasn't reading this book I was thinking about it.I think I may have even dreamed about it a couple of times too!I look forward to the movie MY SOUL TO KEEP and hope MS Due is working on another book, I'm curious to know what happens after the meeting and what type of woman Fana grows up to be. CONGRATULATIONS MS DUE!

Summary: First book I've read by Ms. Due
Review: Apparently I somehow missed "My Soul To Keep" prior to picking up "The Living Blood", so I'll be reading the prequel shortly.

But, having not read the precursor to this one, I still have to say that this was an excellent book. I really enjoyed the characters, and I was definitely swept up into the action. Along the way, I was convinced that the plot was following predictable lines, but I was definitely caught off guard (in pleasant ways). Tananarive Due has talent, and should be watched. I recommend this book, and I look forward to reading more by this author.

Summary: This sequel delivers!
Review: The Living Blood was well worth the wait!! It's a page turner; it's spellbinding; it's intriguing. Ms. Due is a very talented writer; her scenes are so descriptive & detailed. Anxiously awaiting My Soul to Keep on HBO as well as her next book.

Summary: Worth the Wait...
Review: When I finished reading "My Soul To Keep" I wanted more. "The Living Blood" delivered.

I can't wait for the MSTK the movie! Blair Underwood as Dawit... Lawd Have Mercy!

I highly recommend this book.

Summary: The Living Blood - a can't put down reading selection
Review: The Living Blood is a totally captivating, action filled, mind provoking text from start to finish. Ms. Due made me ponder the question "Are there really immortals among us"? I was literally trasported to the Africa, then to Florida as the action continued. I felt the pain and the rift of guilty conscience that Fana felt and I was horrified when David was burned alive. I was not ready for the book to end and that was the only thing that displeased me.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A 5+! She did it again!
Review: If you think there's no way she could top My Soul to Keep, you'll be delighted to discover how wrong you are. What an amazing piece of work! I can't wait for the next one!
