Summary: THE BEST HORROR BOOK I'VE READ IN A LONG TIME!
Review: This book is unpredictable, with a suprise ending that will knock your socks off! Cusick does a superb job at keeping you on the edge of your seat all through the book. I couldn't put it down! She keeps you thinking it's one guy, then the other guy, then another guy, then ANOTHER guy. All in all a great book.

Summary: Best I ever read!
Review: This book was the first, and best book by Richie Cusick I have ever read. It was interesting, and the end had a great twist to it.

I have read mostly all of RTC's books, but ever since she started writing the "Buffy series" she hasnt come out with any good original ones. I hope eventually she will write some new page-turners in the future.

Summary: the best Richie Tankersley Cusick book to date
Review: This definitely is the best book I have read by Richie Tankersley Cusick. I've read and re-read this book so many times I know a lot of lines by heart. This is the book that earned Richie Tankersley Cusick the privilege of becoming one of my favorite authors. If you haven't read it, it's certainly worth your time. Vampire is very suspenseful and well-written. The characters seem very realistic. Despite Darcy's sort-of uncle Jake looking like the killer, I found myself wanting Darcy and Jake to hook up. That bad guy persona was just so enticing. You'll never suspect the true identity of the killer; I sure didn't!

Summary: A must-read for teen horror fans.
Review: This was the first book I read in my long teen horror story phase, soon followed by the Vampire Diaries. I remember reading this book at least 3 times, then lending it to all my friends and having discussions about it. I remember being thrilled by the romantic subplots and getting numerous chills from the scary ones, especially during the end of the book. It isn't exactly literature, but it is very well-written and holds your attention from start to finish. I loved how Richie keeps you guessing from beginning to end if there really is a vampire stalking the community, and if so, who it is. Now that I think about it, I'm going to dig my copy out one of these days and reread it. I loved all of Richie's books, especially Trick or Treat, and the V.C Andrews-influenced Blood Roots.

Summary: "It's the kiss of death..."
Review: While her mother is honeymooning in Europe, 17-year-old Darcy Thomas is dumped on her estranged young uncle, Jake. Not only is he very private and aloof, but he lives in and owns a museum devoted to horror characters (Dracula, Frankenstein, etc.) called Dungeon of Horrors. Her new lodgings definitely take some time getting used to, especially after Darcy finds a decapitated rat in her bed and bats in her bedroom. Although both incidents frighten her, Darcy isn't prepared for the recent vampire-like murders occurring in Westonport--or the unnerving feeling that she's being stalked by the killer.

I thought "Vampire" was an okay teen horror book. It wasn't the best vampire story I've ever read--in fact, for being a vampire story, it didn't have a lot of vampire action involving fangs and all that--, but it's still pretty good, considering this is the first Richie Tankersley Cusick book I've read so far. The two things that disappointed me, though, were the identity of the killer and the unresolved issue of whether or not s/he was in fact a vampire or if s/he was just delusional. Still, fans of horror/vampires and Miss Cusick will probably enjoy this one. For readers age 12 and up.

Summary: Summer full of terror and suspense...
Review: You have to read this book! This girl named Darcy gets taken to her Uncle Jake's place for the summer because her mom ditched her so she could get married. Well, Darcy gets freaked out because everywhere she goes she sees Elliot. It's like he's stalking her. To make matters worse, Liz hates her because Liz's boyfriend likes Darcy. She thinks her Uncle is a murderer because all the evidence points to him. There is a murderer called "The Vampire" on the loose and she in going to be next...or is she? It's your turn...read this thriller and find out who the "Vampire" really is...is it her uncle Jake who fits the part just perfect? Is it Liz who dispises her and even threatened to kill her? Is it Elliot who seems to be stalking her? Is it Brandon (Liz's boyfriend) who seams to like her, or is he buttering her up to be his "bride"? Or maybe it's Kyle (Liz's brother) who seams to like Darcy too, is he really who she thinks he is? It could be any one of these five, strange people. Maybe it's all her imagination - she could have dreamed this all up. Maybe they are all in on it. Read this and be surprised. All of Richie's books (that I have read) have surprise endings. It's a really good must read.
